They were clearly very old in the segment and being doctors probably didn't need to work anymore. I don't see anything suspicious in snowbird retirement. Charlotte's son doesn't either since he's living there, with the dark coloured trash bags.

So apparently Mrs. Pollis is also a physician. Interesting. Of course it is not unusual for folks to retire to more tropical climates, but right after the disappearance is somewhat convenient. I suspect they timed it to get away from what was going on back in Girard.
Also one must notice it appears Layla goes by Nagi rather than Pollis. |

I'm sure that through in fighting over the case there have been divisions in the family. Ultimately none of the scenarios make any sense hence why he's never been charged.

Yesterday was the 25th anniversary of her disappearance. Charlotte's brother, Ali Nagi, posted this:
"Today is a bitter day 25 Years ago today my sister Charlotte Nagi Pollis was declared a missing person in my opinion she was murdered and her body was never found a case that was never solved everyone knows her husband is guilty , She was a Loving and caring person a mother of two babies a daughter a sister and Aunt who loved life and her family and friends and cherished every day, She always found the good in people and always tried to show love and compassion I vowed 25 years ago to move heaven and earth to bring justice to her case and 25 years latter I still fight the battle , a father who passed away and never seen justice for his daughter ,a mother who never got to say goodbye or morn or have closure to this day Two loving children who never got to know their mother ( Only through the eyes of her family and friend ) A Justice system that failed the family and her children ,Brothers and sister who never got the opportunity to say I love you or grow old with her as well the destruction that rippled a family all by one Man can never be described I firmly know and believe someone out there has the answers needed I constantly get leads and follow through with them so anyone who has anything that they feel is worthy of needing checked out or has information that may be important to her case I urge you to contact me and or Chief John Norman of the Girard Ohio Police department. GOD BLESS everyone who has taken the time to read and respond to this post In Loving memory of my sister Charlotte Nagi Pollis July 4th 1965 - March 12 1994" |

Still find it hard to believe that of all of the missing/murdered spouses featured on UM, this (IMO) was the one that lacked any sort of real motive despite the fact that Paul came off really guilty in the segment.

This is wildly not germane to the case, but has anyone watched Jeopardy! the last few days? Am I the only one who thinks Sam Kavanaugh looks like Paul Pollis?

Eh, maybe a little bit. I wouldn’t have noticed any type of resemblance until someone else mentioned it though. 🤷🏻*♂️

Yeah I think pretty much everyone knows that Paul did this crime. His parents possibly helped him after he killed her. His answers to the questions were just very defensive. I fully believe he killed her

I think Paul knows what happened to Charlotte as well.
But to be fair (to take the side that Paul didn't do it), I would be rather defensive as well if I was accused of murdering somebody and was innocent. |

If you take his interview performance out of the equation the family's story that he killed Charlotte literally makes zero sense.
He hacked up a 400 lb woman in the kitchen with the kids sleeping in the next room and he wasn't disturbed, especially when grandma and grandpa came to help? That frail woman lugged Charlotte to the shed? Was on her hands and knees with bleach getting every single potential spot of blood from every crevice and baseboard? No blood anywhere in the house from dismembering a woman of that size? Nothing leaked when being take out to the shed? Or in the shed itself? Dang, they're good. But wait, she was really taken to the car that was packed full of boxes ( not dark trash bags?) that there'd have been no room for the kids in it, so if he left the kids home alone while he was disposing of Charlotte they just ignored Grandma calling, in her own words, every 10 minutes? Or he took them with him to dump a body? If you saw mommy getting out in a dark trashbag with Grandma and Grandpa helping, do you just like ... go back to sleep? "it's positively ludicrous" |

I've said this before about this case...I feel terrible for Charlotte's family (a daughter and sister is missing). I feel bad for Paul and his children (a wife/mother is missing). However, nobody comes across as likeable in this segment. Paul sounds like an arrogant clown. His mother sounds like everything is beneath her. Charlotte's mom comes across as obnoxious (calling 10-15 times every day?!?!?! That would drive anyone batty). Charlotte's siblings are the only ones that come across as halfway likeable (but even they go on about Paul not giving them a key to his shed. |
