Did Anne Meara Ever Appear on Seinfeld? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I know Jerry Stiller has done a lot of acting, as well as his son Ben. But until I saw today's blog hadn't known Jerry did a lot of acting with his wife Anne Meara. I saw some of their appearances on The Paul Lynde Show but hadn't realized they were married in real life. They appeared together on The King of Queens after Seinfeld ended, and on several other shows as well. Estelle Harris did a great job playing Jerry Stiller's wife on Seinfeld. Did Anne Meara ever appear as a different role there?

I don't recall seeing her. I agree Estelle Harris was great in the role.

Unrelated observation, but I think they could have done better casting Jerry's parents.

Phil Bruns who played Jerry's father in season 1 was not a good actor. But fortunately that was just for one episode, and he was recast. I would say Liz Sheridan and Barney Martin did well and were good picks.

You mean Barney Martin. Barney Miller was a sitcom.
