Hey, no fair! This is recent---I thought it was gonna be a vintage interview.

But still, nice of you to share---I'll check it out later.

This was neat, thanks---and she was SO cute when she brought up the teepees in the background! I too saw the "hands" before she even said it! (I mean, I knew they were teepees, but still saw the "hands", lol)

The teepee hand things are weird. I'm glad she mentioned how weird they are.

I adore this Molly interview because she seems so down to earth. So the opposite of her "Getting the Pretty Back" persona.

Black, brown, red, blonde... yep, through the years, Molly's had a lot of different hair colors.

The things in the background of this video interview... they're behind Molly, and she mentions them.

OK I rewatched, I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention the first time.

So I just discovered that Molly was nominated for a Golden Freaking Globe for this 1982 film "The Tempest". A Golden Globe!

Man, I bet when she heard news of her nomination she thought "HA! Take that, 'Facts'! You wanted to cut me?? It's your loss now!!" 🖕

Ya know, that probably just added fuel to the fire of her bitterness over the show. I mean, here she is now 15, just a few years after her "Facts" humiliation, and she has been nominated for one of the most prestigious acting awards in Hollywood. For her first movie.

That must have been extremely validating to her that not only can she act, she can act her ass off, better than most girls auditioning for things out there (I'm pretending to be in her head, lol). And it must have made her even more bitter at the thought that those producers didn't think she cut enough mustard to stick with an ensemble show.

Maybe we have the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to thank for Molly's steely nearly 40-year silence about "Facts"! lol

I think it was, as you say, definitely vindication for her: under good direction, with the right material, she could get a Golden Globe nomination. She'd never have to do a raisin commercial ever again, with that kind of recognition. And once she had a GG nom, she could land other major roles... and she soon did, and became a household name.

You could be right. Molly never needed to look back after landing huge film roles. And for many years, she... simply did not. I'm so glad she has, though, because a part of my heart broke when Molly's heart broke at being purged from the cast of FOL.
