Default Ep “Thanksgiving Comes But Once A Year, Thankfully

Just aired on Antenna. A few thoughts:

* So what if she mixed up the stuffings. Just take the oyster stuffing out from the turkey for servings of goose and the sage stuffing out of the goose for servings of turkey.
* Just Love how Mabel Albertsons always plays the wife/mother with a bug up her a##. She has that character down pat.
* Happy to see the two families come together at the end. AND THEY SHOULD HAVE...both were good people.

So in the end...it was a Happy Thanksgiving...even if it wasn’t a dull one.

Love to hear what others who have watched the ep think!

It was Ann's first Thanksgiving that she hosted and she wanted to have everything turn out well without any goofs or embarrassment. Each family wanted their traditional Turkey or Goose served with the matching stuffing. Yes she could have just served it as is, but there she was with Don's parents too.

Yes, Mabel plays the disapproving Mother in Law perfectly, here and in other roles.

It's been a couple years now since I was watching That Girl, I really miss it. It's going to be the next show I watch just as soon as one of the series I'm watching now runs out of episodes.

I also like that That Girl did several holiday themed show. I would never have watched a Thanksgiving show now but I used to watch that one every Thanksgiving while I was watching the That Girl series. Also the 2 different Christmas episodes and there was even a Halloween/Election themed show and another goodie, the New Years episode. I'm not watching Antenna TV, I stick only to the DVDs that are always on my own schedule, BUT Antenna TV should save these holiday shows for the appropriate holiday time.

Yes, poor Ann. She wanted everything picture perfect, but honestly, the stuffing snafu wasn’t that much of a biggie.

They do! Xmas Eve & Day there’s a treasure trove of Xmas themed eps from various shows. Xmas on Antenna is to die for!
