This is a long shot but does anybody know how to get in touch with
tvcollector101 on sell.com? is that seller/trader perhaps on this forum? Said seller got 2 series on their list I want but for some reason, the seller doesn't see the message I sent them. Help would be much appreciated. Thanks. |

It's "Half Nelson" from a request thread I started a few weeks back + that Bill Murray Golf series on Comedy Central "The Sweet Spot". That seller seem to be the only person on Earth who has both.

Hi,
I've ordered from "tvcollector101" quite frequently in past over the years, from when he was on Ioffer as "avant-garde 101" and he's proven quite reliable. The current crisis we are all facing (pandemic) has affected everyone and I'm sure he's no exception. I last ordered from him a month or two ago; he sent me episodes of the 1977 World War II sitcom Operation Petticoat. He's still active in the collectors market as far as I know. He's had health problems in past though. If you sent him a message, he'll respond eventually. It just takes time. I'm afraid we've all got our hands full with this present real-world situation. As much as I hate to say it, TV shows and DVD's aren't considered a priority at the moment under the circumstances. "Real-life" once again rears its ugly head. Hope this helps you in some way. I've had the "unread by seller" tag on the message i sent to him on sell since April 15th. If you say he's still active that's good to know. I totally get this Pandemic business we're all in. While yes DVDs are not a priority (although look where we are right now ), it's still a business he's running (such as it is) and in these hard economic times, you would think he would be happy to make any kind of sales but hey! i'm no businessman what do i know. ![]() Ahhhhh I was just psyched to find these 2 series he had on his list and would've been nice to get them and watch them to pass the time. Hopefully, even though i see that his Last Login was today on Sell, he'll get to me eventually. Thanks for the message Black Sheep One. Much appreciated. ![]() P.S.: If you directly wanna get me in touch with him I wouldn't turn it down.

Hi,
I found tvcollector101's TV listings on sell.com and found some shows on his lists that I'm interested in ordering, so I have sent him a message there and by E-mail. Waiting to hear back from him. I do have his E-mail address and his responses are occasional. Sometimes he takes a while to reply. Unfortunately, I can't give his personal E-mail address without his permission so please understand why in advance. I'll tell you what I can do though....if I hear from him, I'll be sure and definitely let you know. The shows in question he has are extremely rare from the 70's and 80's (1 season each, all cancelled) and I can't find them anywhere else. It's the best I'll able to do at the moment. His last log in at sell.com says it was "today" and his latest listings were posted 2 weeks ago so that confirms he is still active there and in general. Thanks. Just fyi. Black Sheep One

most recently Part 2 of the 2-part episode Yeoman Hunkle, Yeoman Hunkle which none of the sets I acquired even had. Apparently those who recorded the show were unaware there was a Part 2, even though at the end of Part 1 it said "To Be Continued". But at least now I have it; two collectors I got in contact with did have it, but from TV Land airings (90's). So now I have all 32 episodes and the pilot movie Life In The Pink besides the original classic 1959 movie the series was loosely based on. I seem to recall that when the show was on network TV in 1977, the original title of the pilot movie was indeed Operation Petticoat. Then for syndication due to some unknown reason it was changed to Life In The Pink, I guess so it wouldn't be confused with the original movie; and as someone previously pointed out, Life In The Pink was practically a remake of the original film (my favorite part in the latter was after the torpedo was inadvertently fired by Lt. Crandall and it hit the truck instead of the ship Cary Grant was writing in his journal and said, "Sighted tanker....Sank truck!" I think in the series John Astin after the torpedo hit the truck said, "We sank a truck!" like Cary did in the film. lol...) At any rate, since all the episodes in the sets were mixed up/out of sequence, I am remastering them (Season 2 included, I have all 10; I prefer Season 1 of the two) to put them back in their original broadcast sequence. On another subject, I am interested in numerous rare old classic TV shows (1 to 3 seasons) many of which I have listed in previous posts on this forum that I am looking for. If by chance you might have one or some of them, please let me know by PM. I have recently been informed by another member who I won't name that I've been flooding the forum with my requests so I won't be posting any more of those since it appears to be inconvenient. A lot of these shows most people have never even heard of, much less seen, but some do. And on the topic of "tvcollector101" I have ordered DVD's from him many times over the years including from when he was on ioffer under the user name "avant-garde101" and he has proven quite reliable, also having shows that nobody else even remotely had. For instance, thanks to him I found the pilot episode for The Wackiest Ship In The Army (1965-66) "Shakedown" (from mid-80's CBN airing) and complete versions of episodes 2-4; nobody else I know of had the former item at all. I also got the Operation Petticoat pilot movie Life In The Pink from him. Thanks again. Black Sheep One

Glad to hear all is well with you and tvcollector101. I definitely have no complaints. Thanks to him so far, he has found at least two rare shows that I had been looking for that were aired on network TV back in the early 80's, among many too numerous to mention. They were Small & Frye (1983) starring the late Darren McGavin (best known for Kolchak-The Night Stalker), a Disney sitcom that aired on CBS-TV briefly (a whole 6 episodes, he located episodes 1-3; still missing 4-6 though) and the 1983 Glen Larson produced medical drama series Trauma Center, which had a crossover episode with Lee Majors' The Fall Guy (Trauma, Season 3). On the set of Trauma Center, it included the Fall Guy episode (network TV airing surprisingly) and 11 of the 13 episodes (10 aired on the network, the last 3 were unaired) with episodes 2 and 3 from film prints besides the network TV airings (still missing episodes 11 and 12). Neither show had been available anywhere otherwise in the collectors market, but he sure had them when nobody else did. He's come through for me on more than one occasion. Highly recommended.... Just fyi. Black Sheep One.
