Default One thing that should have been edited on the WBK DVD is the

Opening Kotter Joke before the opening credits: I never realized he had one before the opening credits in addition to the one right before the closing credits. That's because in syndication the first one is not shown only the last one

Unnecessary footage

Some of Kaplan's jokes are corny but I'm glad they're included on the DVD's because the episodes would be incomplete without them.

True, the DVD was the reason I found out it was 2 jokes a episode

If I remember correct, in season 4 the jokes stopped because at this point the series was going through changes. There was also turmoil going on behind the scenes and Kaplan is absent from a few episodes.

One thing that's new in season 4 is that the episode title is displayed at the start of the episode. The other seasons don't show the episode titles. Kaplan's jokes aren't a regular part of the episodes anymore in season 4 but I think he might tell one now and then. I also have the DVD set but haven't got around to the 4th season yet.
