Laff schedule changes tomorrow

Starting tomorrow, Laff is making changes to their schedule.

Home Improvement will no longer be on in the mornings and afternoons anymore, and Night Court along with World's Funniest Videos: Top 10 Countdown will be taking its place instead. Home Improvement will be going in According To Jim's old time slot.

According To Jim will be cut down to just two episodes now, and they will be on at 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM.

Everything else remains unchanged.

According to the Xfinity channel guide, That '70s Show shows up in the guide, but when searching for it, the show doesn’t appear in the listings. Only IFC is displaying it.

Laff's website is displaying it though. Could it be permanently getting removed, or is this just a mistake?

Laff's strategy is awful. Whenever they get a new show that isn't Home Improvement or That 70s Show, they give it a decent slot for about a year, then give it a daytime or graveyard slot, then get rid of it. Who remembers when Laff had variety, like Spin City, Empty Nest, and Drew Carey

I'm guessing it's because Generation Z (kids born from 1996 to 2009) know 70s Show and Home Improvement, but not really any of their other shows. But I'm in Gen Z and I really don't like where they're headed.

Judging by their recent changes, they're probably either getting rid of 3rd Rock or Grace Under Fire by the end of the year. According to Jim and Night Court will take 3rd Rock and Grace Under Fire's current slots, and Home Improvement and 70s Show will get Jim and Night Court's current slots.

Jim will be gone by late 2021, and Night Court will be gone by May 2022. Then it'll just be 70s Show and Home Improvement, with World's Funniest Videos taking graveyard and early morning slots.

They need more variety. They should bring back all their former shows in addition to the ones they currently air, and add some new shows that fit in with their lineup of sitcoms from the 90s and 00s. How about 8 Simple Rules, Malcolm in the Middle, Dave's World, The John Laroquette Show, Dear John, and Mad About You. Their current strategy which seems to only target Generation Z isn't working, their ratings went down by 5% from 2018 to 2019.

And please, get rid of World's Funniest Videos, except maybe from 1 AM to 9 AM.

I also noticed that today's Laff listings for That '70s Show are also not showing up in the upcoming airings.

I can't understand how that show or some format of it has lasted so long. It seems the show has ben on the last 30 years.

As a Home Improvement fan, I am glad to see it thriving on LAFF when UP has really scaled it back and CMT even further, plus its history of flopping on other stations. But World's Funniest Videos is really not needed in afternoons, 3rd Rock from the Sun should have gotten a shot there from 2-4PM. Or they could move Night Court 1-4 and put 3rd Rock from the Sun before it. While According to Jim is being scaled back, the 11PM hour is still there as well as the 6PM hour.

I think Nick@Nite should acquire Last Man Standing and reacquire Home Improvement to their nightly programming line-up.

It’s a shame that UP scaled back Home Improvement to just Wednesday evenings now, and World's Funniest Videos should just be on in the mornings instead instead of the afternoons.

3rd Rock From The Sun would’ve been a nice addition to the afternoon lineup instead, because World's Funniest Videos airs way too much now.

Xfinity still hasn’t corrected the issue with Laff's upcoming airings of That '70s Show.

I do like their being good to Home Improvement and Night Court, but LAFF needs more variety. Mad About You, Boy Meets World, and Canada's highest rated comedy from the 2000s decade Corner Gas would be good pickups. I don't think any of them are currently airing on other diginets. This would be a good weekday schedule, dump World's Funniest Videos or reduce it to weekend filler.

The only problem with Home Improvement is Patricia Richardson. On one episode tonight she was throwing stuff at him and just acting down right nasty in attitude. If roles were reversed in the episode, Tim would have been arrested for domestic assault on real life.

It could have been a better show with more rerun appeal if they had replaced or recast her character.
