Default Love Triangle cases

Just watched the segment with Todd Kelley, and Christie Mutzfield. What other love triangle cases were featured on UM?

You could argue that Eric Tamiyasu was in a love triangle, I suppose...

Most definitely. I feel like there was a couple of love triangles going on there. Granted the sheriff didn't think so

It's presented as more of a missing persons segment with the theory that Jo murdered Larry and then took of (because she was missing at the time), but her family was insistent that she would have never done that. They don't name names, but heavily imply that an ex-boyfriend was involved (and it turns out, he was).

Yeah, I just watched it. I actually seen this before but didn't recall the names. Thanks

I have watched that one a few times and I feel bad for Christie. Todd's parents would not let her attend the funeral over speculations around Todd's death. I did like how the sheriff came to her defense and said, nope, speculation!

Another love triangle was in Nebraska (I think) and it involved the police chief and two women, one who was slightly physically disabled. Anyone remember that one?

Anna Anton and Greg Webb. https://unsolvedmysteries.fandom.com/wiki/Greg_Webb

Anna the super religious barfly is a fascinating character.

While I don't think Christie killed Todd, I don't blame his parents. Her story was inconsistent and I believe she was present at the murder, and probably even help cleaned the crime scene. Granted, this all could've been out of fear but I don't blame his parents for thinking that she was holding back information.

I think she went back the next day to call the authorities because she knew he was dead, but wanted to make it seem like a surprise.

Huq was definitely responsible for the murder, but I have always had trouble believing her account of the events as well (this is from the unsolved.com):

Christie says she dropped Todd back at his house right around 3 a.m. The coroner determined that he was murdered just 15 minutes later. At 4:30 a.m., Mahfuz called Christie from his parentsÂ’ house, 10 miles away. Two hours later, he showed up in her bedroom. According to Christie, she broke off their relationship for good, not knowing what he had done.

It seems much more likely that she was there the whole time, than all the zipping back and forth in the early morning hours. At the very least she saw what happened.

The Circleville letters case. A love triangle brought that on.
