Default The Attic episode

Wow, I never knew this episode is called "A Room at the Top". Very clever! I just watched this earlier and OMG, Marcia really got on my nerves! She was so whiny when they decided that Greg would get the attic because he was older. I mean, she was fine with living with Jan and Cindy before they even decided to change the attic into a room and then all of a sudden she becomes a whiny "B". If I would have been Carol and Mike I wouldn't have let her have it just because of her attitude!

Another thing I find really funny is that at the end, Cindy is complaining b/c by the time she gets the attic it will be "almost the year 2000". That in itself is funny but think about it... by the time she's old enough to get the attic, everyone else will have moved out and she'll be the only kid at home (maybe Bobby, but even so, they'd both have their own rooms anyway and most likely their rooms are bigger than the attic. Except for sharing a bathroom.

And I just thought about what a pain it would be to have a room in the attic with no bathroom. Did they even consider that? So every time they wanted to go to the bathroom or take a shower they'd have to go downstairs and hope it wasn't occupied!

They did have that sink up there, don’t forget. Why a sink in the attic, I don’t know.

This is one of the better episodes.

I was watching this last Sunday on METV and I thought the same thing about Marcia !! I was like " Shut up Marcia, quit being such a Diva " ! This time and a lot of other times Marcia gets on my nerves!!

I always thought the attic room was better for Greg anyway ! And this way Peter and Bobby didn't have to sleep in the bunk beds anymore ! They were getting a little too old for them at this point and they could finally spread out and have some space !

And yeah that was funny when Cindy complained that she wouldn't get the attic till almost the year 2000! By than she would be in her 30's! Most likely she wouldn't still be living at her parents home anyway, and if she still was and wanted the attic it would be pretty strange !!

No, that one was " Fright night " ! This one that we are discussing " Room at the top" was when Marcia and Greg both wanted the attic for their bedroom and Greg won out and first moved up there !

In the olden days, it wasn't common to find out the name of an episode.

To be fair, in home-renovation magazines like This Old House, I’ve seen bedrooms with sinks and others with just toilets(both of which were eventually converted to full bathrooms).

Yeah. The only reason I knew the name of the ep. was from Google. Back in the day we didn't really know the names of the episodes!

This one is coming up right now!! "Getting Greg's goat" ! I LOVE this ep.! "Peter and the wolf" was just on! Another great ep. where Peter pretends to be "Phil Packer" an older guy who double dates with Greg!!
