Default Would you do this?

Mindy Cohn recently announced on her Twitter feed that she joined "Autographs to You", which is a celebrity site that you send money and the celebrity of your choice sends you a personal autographed picture.

https://www.autographstoyou.com/prod...ife-scooby-doo

It's $50 bucks for Mindy's personal signed pic to you, which I think is way too much, but i'm sure the company gets a nice chunk of that for themselves before giving Mindy her share. I'd toss her a $20 for it though. If it were that price, i'd do it in a heartbeat.

If the money went to charity, I'd probably do it. Not for Mindy Cohen though. The only one I'd do that for is probably Tom Hanks. Even so, $50 is too much for me to handle right now.

Yeah, having it go towards a charity would probably entice more people to do it. I notice a lot of the celebrities on that site are well past their prime time of fame so they probably need the money.

What's interesting is when I do a Google search for Mindy Cohn, one of the first questions that pops up is asking their net worth. So of course I click to see. For Mindy it says only $1 Million, so this is probably why she's on that autograph site.

I then got curious and Googled the others and it shows as:
Nancy McKeon, $2 Million (used to be $6 at the height of her career. I wonder what she blew $4 million on?!)
Lisa Whelchel, $3 Million
and Kim Fields with the most acorns in her nest at $8 Million.

cfr, I think it was 80s Dude who made a thread about the girls' net worth here recently, and our Molly was the 2nd highest, with "KELLY" being the highest!!!

I've met some of the people on the site and they charged way less when I got their autographs in-person. With a lot of meet-and-greets closed for now this may be the way to get autos. if you really want them.

Ex. Ernie Hudson I payed $30.00 and he's $80.00 on the site.

Who the hell is Kelly?! You don't mean the character Kelly who trashed Edna's Edibles and threatened Blair? That can't be...I haven't seen her in anything since her 3 months on FOL 35 years ago! Did she marry a King or something?

No, but apparently she did do some steady work in the last number of years.

Most of the actresses really didn't make that much from Facts of Life and Mindy had a long breast cancer battle a few years back which can cost a lot of money. Insurance doesn't cover everything and it doesn't cover lodging for treatments. I know of a gay couple who she stayed with during treatments.

I only recently learned about Mindy's battle with breast cancer and so glad to know she got through it and is now ok. I'm halfway though Kim Field's autobiography, and would love to read Mindy's if she ever puts one out.

I think Kim Field's stint on Living Single helped to bump her net worth up since that was another successful sitcom and lasted 5 seasons. From reading her book, she seems like she has her head on straight and had a good upbringing.

Does anyone know how these net worth estimates are calculated? I mean, they obviously can't peek into their bank accounts so i'm guessing it's from the homes they own and a guess on their salaries from the shows they did?

I would think there's just too many factors to consider in order to get an accurate number on something like that without breaking tons of privacy laws.

All is just a guess. This article says a lot about these net worth estimates.

Thanks for the link, but the site won't let me read it unless I pay to subscribe to them. Screw that.

Here's what should happen to websites that make you pay to read them:

And about bumping that thread, I'd have to do a little searching sometime soon, unless 80s Dude knows where to find it (since I think it's his thread)
