the A-TEAM
I honestly hope no attempts are made for MacGyver or The A-Team. I'm a big fan of both and I don't want to see any versions done that wouldn't be true to their legacy and values.
Case-in-point: Much as I love some aspects of "The A-Team" movie from a few years back, there was a ton of foul language and sexual scenes that were never present on the show- I wish that could have been taken out of the movie-and I wish the violence could have been toned down just a little. But the movie did get many other things right, though perhaps it may have taken the series a little too seriously- and that show was intended to be a bit of a parody to begin with.

As for MacGyver, that's pretty much my all time favorite show ever, so I am particularly concerned about any remake efforts. I have heard that a movie version is in the works and the creator of the character and show, Lee David Zlotoff, is involved with this movie, so that's definitely a good sign. I just hope Richard Dean Anderson will reprise his role because there is no one else who can play that role. That is his character alone.

However, if you're interested, an attempt at a new spinoff series was done back in 2002-2003 or so- a pilot called "Young MacGyver" was created as a possible new show for the WB (revolving around the adventures of his young nephew)- I've still got the TV Guide issue that mentioned it. The pilot never aired anywhere as far as I know, but I have seen it up on Youtube- it's not too bad in some respects, but there are elements of it that are not all that great. And the premise didn't make sense either as MacGyver couldn't have any nephews since he didn't have any siblings.

I'm a big fan of superheroes and I'd certainly be interested in new live action shows for The Flash, Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman and The Incredible Hulk. (Though I don't know that any show would ever quite replace the original classics... though in Superman's case, he's had a number of live action shows.)
As to The Greatest American Hero, there was talk at one time from Stephen J. Cannell about a movie version, but it doesn't look like it's happening any time soon, if at all. However, William Katt (who portrayed Ralph Hinkley on the show) has helped author a comic book based on the series that ran for 3 issues back around 2008. It's a modern retelling of the origin story and it's pretty cool.

But not all original versions are error-free yet, unfortunately.

Well they already did revised incomplete one-year wonders and transformed into movie films somehow:

* Mr. and Mrs. Smith (CBS) into Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
* Maybe It's Me (WB) into Picture This!.
* Do Over (WB) into 17 Again.
* Birds of Prey (WB) into Birds of Prey.

Now that Modern Family is over and Ed O'Neill is free, the time should be right for a "Married With Children" reboot. They could call it "Married With Grandchildren"!

I have thought maybe not a straight reboot but something similar to Sanford and Son.

Except the lead is white and his son is half White/half Asian, and the lead’s antagonists are the Asian family (probably Chinese or Korean) sisters. The “Aunt Esther” role could be played by Jodi Long.

The lead would be sort of a cross between Archie Bunker and Fred Sanford who has a blue collar business of some kind. Something similar to Sanford but not Sanford. Maybe even have the adult son at home with a daughter who is married to a white guy.

Have Bill Burr play the Fred role, a Trump supporting conservative, with the more liberal son, the meddling East Asian family.

Or something like that. Actually we need an non PC show.

Home Improvement

The boys would have children of their own, and their grown kids would take over the roles that were once held by the original cast.

I hope you're being facetious, I can't imagine a show less likely to ever see a reboot.

In my opinion no shows should be rebooted. I hate reboots anyway because they never live up to the original. Maybe a spin-off or something, but no remakes for me, please.

they did one of SEA HUNT back in the 80s. I think it was syndicated. I remember it didn't last very long.
