No, it has to with some dialogue from season 9. In the episode with the fake priest relative, I think. Bonnie can give you the details when she pops in here.

I vaguely remember the fake priest/relative. Didn't he finally confess to Mark? I can't remember if Mark outed the phony to the rest of the family.

Yeah one little line Max said from a season 9 ep. " I'm going to take Annie to the pond to see the ducks " And I thought that was so cute, cause I think anything Max says or does is cute !! So of course I ran with it! Imagining Max as a good Father enjoying the day at a duck pond with his little Daughter and even made a scenario that I was a single Mother with a child and I met Max there at the duck pond and we fell in love !!

Then main plot was everyone believed him except Mark. Then he finally confessed to Mark alone, but Mark kept the secret and let him leave with his dignity.

Mark saw right through the phony priest from the start, he made snide comments and let the family know how he felt! It was the fake priest himself that confessed to Mark that he was a phony ! But Mark kept the secret, telling the family that the priest was being transferred to another parish in another state ! The priest looked so relieved and thankful to Mark for not outing him!
