Default Ann Jillian

I was watching Hazel tonight and wondered where that cute girl who played Millie the secretary is today and almost fell off the couch when I saw she was played by 15 year old Ann Jillian! Wow...all this time watching, I never noticed that.

She looks nothing like she did on It's a Living 15 years later, and her hair looks better without that hideous white color on IAL. It also looks like she had a nose job too after she finished doing Hazel.

Ann Jillian also guest starred on Leave it to Beaver as a little girl in an ep. where Wally had a job selling icecream bars! She was adorable in that too!

I just went to You Tube hoping to see a clip of that but came up empty then did an image search and found a couple of pictures of her from that episode. She's so young! Wow....I had no idea she was a child star. I always just assumed It's a Living was her first role...and yes she was adorable.

As for Hazel, i've seen the episodes with Millie the secretary dozens of times over the years and never knew that was her until now.

Smile Millie Got Around

I've recognized that it was Ann Jillian ever since Jillian became well known. BUT I never knew she was in LITB, didn't recognize her there.

I'm usually good at recognizing faces of earlier works of actors/actresses who later became famous, but to me Ann Jillian on Hazel looks absolutely nothing like later on in It's a Living. If someone had told me to look at her face and guess which famous actress she later became, until tonight I would never in a million years have guessed Ann Jillian.

FYI I love the way she looks in Hazel much more over It's a Living....I think she looks much more natural there.

For more adorable Ann Jillian - see her in Walt Disney's Babes in Toyland (1961) as Little Bo Peep (and with Walt himself in Backstage Party, a Wonderful World of Color episode promoting the film). She also did Sammy, the Way Out Seal for Disney at the same time.

As I said on another thread, you learn something from this site every day. I knew she was on Hazel but never knew about LITB, which is the 1960 episode (#113), Wally, the Businessman. She is credited as Anne Nauseda. That is from Wikipedia, so I don't know if the actual episode credit spells her first name correctly.

The Wiki entry shows that as her first film credit.

Ann also appeared on a “Twilight Zone” episode.

Smile It's All In The Smile

In the LITB picture with both girls I thought it was the bigger 1st blonde girl, I never would have guessed it was the smaller girl Bonnie showed. But you know, from that picture I can see it in her smile alone that it's Ann. But still I never would have guessed it unless I knew about it already.

Good catch.

I was similarly surprised to see Ann Jillian from It's A Living on a Hazel rerun- way back in 1986. I, too, had no idea up until then she was a child/teenage actress.

(One day I saw the credits- and only the credits- of a 5th season Hazel episode with the character Millie, then I waited about half a year for that one episode to be rerun so I could see what the girl playing Millie looked like. With so many jokes about Cassie's fake blonde hair on IAL, I was surprised Millie was blonde. And of course it wasn't just the one Hazel episode she was in, but a dozen.)

When CBN got back around to rerunning the final Hazel season in mid-November 1986, I would record both it and the new episodes of It's A Living (I hadn't watched the latter series since it was on ABC), and watch IAL, followed by a 5th season Hazel in which Millie appeared. Here's a screenshot from the first Hazel with Millie I watched.
