Default Parts of the page goes blank

Yesterday when I tried to log in, parts of the page went blank and I couldn't log in. Any idea what causes this, has anyone else seen this? I took a screen shot.

Is this still happening? What browser are you using? Are you using any extensions that re-write the pages?

I've never seen anything like that happen. If it was happening widespread, I think somebody else would have mentioned it. Maybe it was just a temporary glitch.

This used to happen to me also but I think maybe it was because my computer was outdated. Until last year, I was still running Windows Vista and my internet browser had also become outdated. I have since had the computer upgraded with Windows 10 and updated the internet browser, and everything runs smoother now.

It happens maybe 3 or 4 times a month. I'm using the chrome browser and I'm using Vista on this desktop computer and can't do the update's anymore since it's so old. I also have a laptop with windows 8.1 that I use without any problems but it's slower than the desktop. So I'm guessing it's the windows Vista that causes this problem.

Thanks for the info, I think that's probably the cause of my problem too. I don't know how to upgrade to Windows 10, it would probably be easier for me to buy a new desktop with it already installed. I'll have to save up for it.

Is there someone in your area who works on/updates computers? If the desktop computer you currently have isn't too old and has enough space and memory on the hard drive, an upgrade to Windows 10 might work on it. What they basically do is wipe and restore your computer system and install the current/modern stuff on it. I suggest to look into this first before buying a whole new computer.

I wouldn't be so quick to trust upgrades to Windows. A couple of years ago, I had one forced upon me and it wiped out almost everything on my hard drive, and they deprived me of the ability to use System Restore. Microsoft's tech support was useless for me And I'm not alone with this problem either.

Well it worked for me, I had been running Windows Vista and an outdated browser but last year I started having problems with Windows Vista and the browser so I had my computer upgraded to Windows 10 and also updated the browser and now the computer runs smooth and I have no problems. Luckily, my computer was able to install the Windows 10 upgrade and updated browser so I didn't have to buy a new computer. Nothing was forced on me, I made the correct decision to upgrade the computer and I don't let just anyone work on my computer. The tech in my area that I chose for the upgrade is computer skilled and knows what he's doing.

There are a couple of places I've seen around town that work on computers, I figured they would charge about as much to work on it as buying a new one would cost. But I may stop in and ask about it. Glad you had success with your upgrade.

You should consider upgrading to Windows 10.

I haven't priced computers lately so I'm not sure what they cost, but the amount charged to have a computer upgraded/wipe and restore is usually less than $100. The price for my computer upgrade was $85. Good luck with whatever you choose to do, as I mentioned before if your computer is old or doesn't have enough hard drive space and memory, a Windows 10 upgrade might not work on it and you might have to buy a new computer.
