Default What is everybody’s favorite episodes?

Starting with your most favorite and so on

Mine are:
1. Crusin’- This episode to me just seened so fun. Reminded me of me and my friends going cruising and chasing cute boys in cars like they did.
2. Tootie Drives- This is such a funny episode the fact that she had to do her drivers test in a hearse just says it all.
3. Doo Wah- Love this episode getting to hear them singing was a lot of fun like listening to Blair singing my boyfriends back like Julie Andrews was the funniest part.
5. Last drive-in -This was another really fun episode and I like watching Blair deck that girl that was giving her a hard time and how Jo was impressed.
6. 4 musketeers-of course the paint scene is just the best part of the whole episode.
7. 7 Little Indians- I just think this episode is fun watching Blair being the cause of everybody’s death and her hair is just to great.
8. Green eyed Monster- This was the first time we ever saw Natalie and Tootie be really jealous of each other and it was funny like the part where Natalie was going to throw one of Blair’s trees at Tootie then Jo goes hey nice girls don’t throw trees.
9. Take my finals please- This is just such a fun episode I mean it reminds me of me and my friends when we would have cram sessions before tests.
10. Graduation part 1 & 2-Was fun and sad at the same time I mean watching Blair and Jo graduate not knowing if they were going to have another season of the show the next year because they were going off to college & Tootie and Natalie made me sad watching them be sad that they’re a little group was going to change and not be together all the time because they were going to be in different schools.
11. Guess who’s coming to Dinner?- This was just a funny episode I love the part when the squirrel gets loose during the the dinner that Mrs. Garrett was going to have for her professor and his family from France and everybody was running around trying to catch that squirrel
12. The New Girl 1&2-This is the first time we get to see Jo and I like when they go to the chug a lug bar and end up in jail
13.come back to the truck stop - This was just an all-around fun episode like getting to see Natalie story come to life in her head and having her friends be the characters in her story was just so much fun.
15. Gone with the wind 1&2- This was another fun episode watching the girls go away for spring break cutting loose pretending to be old enough in a bar to get drinks throwing an all night party at Natalie’s grandmothers house and wrecking the place was just so teenage college spring break type fun.
16. 3,2,1-This was a great episode I love that Jo handcuffed her self to Blair and stuck to her guns till Blair finally gave in and read her report and then Mrs. Garrett and the rest of them doing that interview at the over our heads shop and then the cord wouldn’t reach when Mrs. Garrett wanted to show them how she make cookies in the kitchen that was so good.
17. Talk, Talk, Talk-Like this whole episode from the fact that the record player at the radio station broke and they all had to come help Jo and they had to add Lib and do different news reports since they couldn’t play music
18. Boy about the house- I like this episode because we get to see part of Andy’s life, him being adopted and that his foster parents were splitting up and he was going to run away and then I like the fact that the girls wanted to take him in and be his foster moms but it was really neat because Beverly finally got to be a mom by adopting Andy.
19. Born to Late- Like seeing Andy form a crush on one of the girls. I mean he’s been around them for how long so it was time that they finally let him have a crush on one of them and that it was Tootie was kind of neat because she was really good with him, even though she was going to go with him to a school dance but then they didn’t and made up and just being friends instead of letting the crush go on.
20. The apartment- It was about time we saw a couple of the girls go out and live on their own
22. The lady who came to dinner-This was just a fun episode the lady that came Miss Louise Dobou she was hilarious that one woman comedy act I thought she was hilarious and the fact that the girls thought that she wanted an Alice in Wonderland themed party when she really wanted to go to the wonderland café was too funny seeing Jo dressed up as the white rabbit.
23. Let’s face the music-Like this episode because it was funny when Blair had green hair and Jo had blonde hair by accident it was supposed to be the other way around and then I like the part when they all dreamed of them being a heavy metal band singing we are bad girls in trouble was just hilarious
24. Seems like old times-I really like this episode especially at the end when Joe found out that Eddie lied to her about being married, when she cried at the end there talking to him about about all this just made me cry that’s how good Nancy McKeon is as an actress.
25. Help from home-Like this episode getting to see Jo’s family so excited that she was graduating at the top of her class from an all girls private school and that she was going to get to go to college and was one of the first people in her family to ever get to go to college that was a neat episode
26. Golden oldies-This one was just all around funny seeing the girls 40 years later in life like the Golden girls still living together and Beverly Ann being there Sophia was just funny
27. Best sister 1&2 - This was a very good episode I mean Jo realizing that she needs a God in her life and Blair realizing that she was mad at God for her folks divorce and that she was taking it out on her sister for wanting to be a nun and then realizing that that’s what her sister really wanted to do and that she should let her live her life and that it’s not wrong to want to be a nun was really good and then the part where Jo hit Blair, oh I just like getting to see Jo hit Blair just once.
28. Death in the family- It was neat to see how they did a show dealing with one of the girls losing a family member (dad). At the end when Natalie and her mom were alone in the room talking about how Natalie didn’t want her mom to get rid of her dad‘s things but her mom had to so that she could move on and then they said how much they would miss him and then they hugged and her mom said everything will be alright that was just so good made me cry
29. All by herself- Like the part where Blair took over all the responsibilities and everything was chaos, the flower guy came in with tons of flowers and then some guy brought a naked statue into the room and then Mrs. Garrett walking in and seeing the naked statue saying oh my, was just too good. And to top it off Jo coming in saying it looks like the Rose Parade in here.
30. Taking a chance on love 1&2-Like getting to see another side of Jo where she was very vulnerable and fell in love with a guy who was really sweet and kind and decent. We really learned a lot about Jo in that episode and that she deep down is a really sweet caring person who wanted romance in her life even though she wasn’t ready for marriage
31. Star at Lengley -Like seeing Blair come to the realization that she needed to take the next step with her relationship with Cliff and I also really like Jamie Gertz in that episode. Really wished Blair and Clif would’ve ended up together he was my favorite of all Blair’s boyfriends.
32. Slice of life-This was just a fun episode watching the girls try to make over 30 some pizzas in one day.
33. Perfectly imperfect. Liked that jo stayed while Blair was in the hospital and tried to calm Blair down once she saw that big scare on her head from her car accident.

I guess it changes every once in a while, but here are some of my favorites:

1. Front Page - I like that it doesn't have the traditional happy ending: Jo has ruined a man's career, and they don't end it on a cheesy 1980s freeze frame with everybody laughing. Also, it is the last time we get to see two of my favorite characters, Cindy and Sue Ann, until the reunion five years later.

2. Rough Housing - This has been highlighted by critics as one of the stand-out episodes of the series. Cindy questions her sexuality... what other show would tackle sexual orientation and femininity (or lack thereof) in its very first episode?

3. Gossip - Not only is this an entertaining episode, this one proved that you could have seven girls on stage at the same time without the audience tuning out.

4. Gamma Gamma or Bust - The scenes with the terrible Chinese food are utterly hilarious, and Jami Gertz is "a hoot".

5. The Little Chill - So awesome to see the Lost Girls once more! I wish it had been a two-parter, and I wish Molly had appeared, but it's an otherwise solid episode.

6. Running - A classic first-season episode with some great lines. And Mrs. Garrett's line, where she rips the photo in half, is so dramatic!

7. The Secret - This is maybe Jo's best early episode.

8. Cousin Geri - I love that the producers brought on the first semi-regular actress with a disability on a sitcom. This episode was ground-breaking at the time, and I think it has held up well.

9. Sex Symbol - I like the messages in this episode. I wish people had apologized to Home Run Helen, though.

10. Flash Flood - another episode heavy on the drama!

Hey now, some of us like freeze frames thank you very much (I actually love them), and they weren't always laughing. There were tons of dramatic freeze frames.

I used to be so bugged by Nancy McKeon's intense histrionics when she is SCREAMING at her father to "STAY OUTTA MY LIFE!!!" When I binged the series a year or two ago I was still bothered by it some, but not as much as in the past (perhaps because I knew right where it would be coming).

And Lorsie, wow---I'm shocked any post-season 1 episodes were ranked higher than some season 1ers! lol

Hey, you like what you like. I don't mind dramatic freeze frames.

I think Nancy does a good job in the episode, but I also think the writing was really good.

But "Gossip", "The Little Chill", and "Front Page" are throwbacks to an earlier era.

But you do mind comedic freeze frames? In any media in any decade? (or do you sometimes like them, or never?)

I still think she's a little hard on him. I mean, I try and remember she's a 16-year-old child of divorce who got into a bad crowd on the streets, but Charlie's so sympathetic that it's hard to take her lashing out at him so harshly. Eh, well. At least she comes around in the end.

Well, true, but still, they're not season 1. Season 1 is organic in everything Lost Girls-ish. And he posted multiple times his love for that as his favorite season, so it was just a bit surprising.

I think they were overdone in the 1980s. I distinctly remember many episodes of "The Love Boat" ending on a freeze frame, everyone's heads thrown back in laughter at some silly joke someone made.

I think it's easy for us to see that Jo's father loves his daughter more than all of Blair's fathers combined love Blair. But Jo can't see that, yet. She's too wrapped up in her emotions; too wild.

But one thing I love so much about freeze frames is that they can't happen in life. Life "moves". So anything that is freeze framed, I think is so cool.

True. I'm sure as a kid and teen watching I was more attuned to what the young person was going through than the adult.

My favourite episodes:

Season 1: 'Rough housing' (ice breaker between MRS G and BLAIR) and 'Like mother like daughter (first heart to heart talk between MRS G and BLAIR).

Season 2: 'The new girl, part 1 + 2' (first interaction between JO and BLAIR) and 'Breaking point' (BLAIR learns a hard lesson when a classmate of hers commits suicide)

Season 3: 'Kids can be cruel' (BLAIR learns that looks aren't everything when she accepts a date with a nerd)
And of course my favourite of all times 'The 4 musketeers!' (the 4 girls realize how close they have become when friendship threatens to fall apart...)

Season 4: 'Under pressure' (you get to see how caring and concerned the girls are about their friend and guardian MRS G)
'Take my finals please' (It's interesting to see each girl fear and worry about the future when they cram for their last exam together).
'Graduation day part 1 and 2' (A very touching episode between MRS G and her 2 older girls, when she hands them each a gift according to their personality. For JO she has a rock, and for BLAIR a jumper she knitted herself. She even has a special moment and special words for each of them, and the ending is very tender when she hugs them like a mother would, and you realize how they've become a real family!)

Season 5: 'Brave new world, (Finally you get the girls and MRS G to live under the same roof like a real family).
'Gamma gamma' (First real fight between BLAIR vs MRS G over a tantrum. Once again you see the loyalty and love MRS G has for for BLAIR, when she not only saves her from embarrassment, but make it possible in the end to be accepted as a sorority sister. Likewise, BLAIR finally realizes that her home and heart is where her real Peekskill family is: at 'Edna's Edibles', with MRS G and the girls).
'Chain letter' (The girls are in deep trouble when due to their careless they almost lose not only their job, but also their long time friend and confidante, MRS G! in the end all works out well, when MRS G tests them while pretending to be a tough interviewer, when we all know she is dying to give her girls a second chance! Wow! what a sweet ending!)

And finally

Season 6: 'Gone with the wind' (finally a guy with personality for BLAIR to challenge her, unlike CLIFF, who was a goody two shoes and CHAD, a creep!)

'Working it out' (probably my favourite of them all, because it is the only BLAIR and MRS G episode where you can see a strong motherly chemistry between them, as well as a sisterly one between the other 3 girls towards BLAIR).
'The interview show' (definitely the most bittersweet episode, because it is the end of an era: no more 'Edna's Edibles' after that, and no more living under MRS G's own roof with her girls. Not really, because we all know that from season 7 onward, MRS G is just a clone of herself.... Still, that very last moment between MRS G and BLAIR, when she helps her put on her coat and touches briefly her face, is the most tender one....

Good choices, Valentina! I chose "Rough Housing" and "Gamma Gamma", too, but for very different reasons.

I remember when "The Interview Show" came out, it was very avant-garde for the era. Sort of ground-breaking. And, as you say, it was the end of an era.

Emily Dickinson
Gossip
Bought and Sold
A Baby in The House
Kids Can Be Cruel
Mind Your Own Business
The Source
For The Asking
Magnificent Obsession
Under Pressure
Guess What's Coming To Dinner
Gamma Gamma or Bust
The Halloween Show
Advance Placement
Store Games
Love At First Byte
Dear Apple
Man in The Attic
The Last Drive In
Sisters
3, 2, 1
Tootie Drives
The Lady Who Came To Dinner
Fast Food
Seven Little Indians
Post-Christmas Card
A Winter's Tale
Cupid's Revenge
Younger Than Springtime
Down & Out in Malibu (1 & 2)
Rumor Has It
Golden Oldies
The More The Marrier
Peekskill Law
A House Divided

You actually prefer the later years in a way: i never cared much for FOL after MRS G left, so for me 7 to 9 were definitely was least favourite lol!
