I think Mary married Scotty too - loved the actor, he was so appealing!

How about Steve Trevor (Wonder Woman - especially in WWII)?

He wasn't casted as a boyfriend character but as a Son & a Brother , but I always thought Wally Cleaver (Leave it to Beaver) would make a great boyfriend!

I adore this show! When I was sick at home this Tues. & Weds. I watched back-to-back eps on Antenna.

When I see her now, my first thought is, wow, Marlo still looks good.

I find myself really enjoying the episodes, too. I'd forgotten how well written this show is. I have the DVD sets, but they're plagued with out-of-sync audio problems. Another problem Shout will never correct.

That's interesting, I haven't noticed any out-of-sync audio on the DVD's but will have to pay closer attention the next time I watch some episodes.

There's one episode that's edited, "Super Reporter" from season 5 is missing the tag scene at the end. A few other episodes from seasons 3-5 have suspiciously short run times but I don't know for sure if any of those are edited or not.

ISTR some talk about "Super Reporter" in another thread a long time ago. Maybe Antenna will have the missing scene. Re the audio sync maybe I just have defective DVDs, but it sure is annoying.

Steve Elliott was the worst - so controlling. He looked like somebody’s dad with his button down sweaters. And he sounded like somebody’s dad with all that old-timey singing. Petticoat Junction tanked when he showed up.

I think she looks terrible with her unnecessary surgery. Completely unnatural. She looked great 10 years ago, but couldn’t leave it alone.

NO !! I disagree ! Steve was hot ! He was the stereotypical Husband of the day, my Dad was like that, making the money, ruling the roost !!

I loved his singing !And Steve, Mike Minor and Betty Jo, Linda Kay Henning were really a couple in real life ! Met on the set of PJ, and ended up getting married , so their onscreen romance/ chemistry was real!!

When I see her now on the St. Jude's hospital commercials I think she looks completely different than on her days on That Girl , not just because of age , just very different ! I thought that even when she had a recurring role as Rachel's Mom on Friends! If I didn't know that was Marlo Thomas ( besides the distinct voice) by her looks I wouldn't even know that was her! Obviously her hair color is lightened, but seems like her eye color and skin tone has lightened over the years?

I'm not saying she looks bad, just completely different!

Now That Girl is another favorite of mine. I watched this one too when I was a kid when it was first on ABC. But as for problems with the Shout DVDs all mine played perfectly, I have all the seasons & don't recall any problems with them. The color on these sets is really beautiful. I had recorded this show way back when the USA cable network used to show it and also when the old WOR Superstation used to show it but the color was always sort of faded out and even purple and greenish on some episodes. So when I saw the Shout DVDs it was a real thrill to see these shows as they looked back in the '60's nice and colorful.

As for That Girl's looks today, well I think she's gone to the plastic surgeon one too many times. Why lady stars from yesteryear just can't age naturally is beyond me. When they get those awful giant blown up Duck Lips and have their mouths stretched from ear to ear it just looks bizarre. Would a few wrinkles be so awful compared to turning your face into a horror scene. And the strange thing these ladies keep doing it to themselves again no matter how many others look horrible now they keep doing it to themselves too. Suzanne Sommers, Goldie Hawn, Loretta Swit, Cher, and countless others that I don't wish to conjure up in my brain all look HORRIBLE. Bring back a few wrinkles and mostly you'd look like yourselves instead of strange masked monsters.

They got divorced, too. I like to think that Betty Jo dumped his ass on the show as well. She was way more interesting before he “tamed” her.

Amen. (And LOL at the “duck lips” comment - so true).

I saw a couple of eps. of That girl on Friday , Valentines day , apparently there was a marathon which I'm surprised nobody made any posts about here as a heads up!! ?? I was just lucky to have been able to catch a couple of eps. at the tail end of the marathon! And also a couple of eps. on late Saturday afternoon, cool! I guess they show TG on Saturday afternoons regularly?

I LOVE this show!!! Such a really cute, cool show, just like I remember from watching it years ago!! And Donald is SO CUTE, such a wonderful, great boyfriend! Just like I remembered , he was just what us little girls watching back than wanted in a boyfriend, and he still fits the bill!! And Ann is darling, a really nice, pretty girl!!!
