Was Michael Landon very active in caring about people with special needs?
I saw Highway To Heaven on Cozi and they showed Part 2 of the episode Special Love and I would like to know if this Highway To Heaven episode was inspired by Michael Landon's love for people with special needs? I know that the Special Olympics was featured in the episode and Michael Landon created a series of books for children by Golden Books that discussed topics such as death stepfamilies divorce and everyday life before he died in 1991
