Default Dreaming is a "Fact of Life" (a.k.a. the FOL Dream Thread)

Share any of your dreams about the show/characters/actors here!

I just remembered that last night I had a whopper of one. I dreamt I was living in an apartment complex that was the same apartment complex our very own MOLLY RINGWALD was living in with her hubby and kids. I couldn't believe it! I came to know about this when I was walking on the grounds one day and saw Molly, in a green and white V-neckline dress with wavy hair just past her chin (funny how you can remember certain details from dreams, lol), and her hubby in line at the apartment complex movie theater ticket booth to buy tickets to see a movie (don't ask me why an apartment complex had its own movie theater; dreams are weird ). I was STOKED to see our very own "Molly Parker" living in my community, and knew I just HAD to meet her. And somehow I did. I don't remember that part, but I do remember coming over to their apartment and visiting them, and discussing movies, and me being SO afraid to bring up "The Facts of Life" in case she got offended and made me leave! I think I just resolved to try and build the friendship good and solid first, and maybe bring it up later on down the road. And then I made plans with them to catch a movie in the near future, and I left saying that I had family plans I needed to get to (I think I wanted to leave before I did something stupid like bring up FOL too soon, lol).

The only FOL related dream that I ever remember having was that I was watching an episode where Willis walked into the room and got a big round of applause and then the words "It's Todd Bridges!" appeared in big white letters across the bottom of the screen. It was kind of weird.

I had a dream where the TV was on all of a sudden in the den, and Lisa Whelchel was sitting on the couch watching Collector's Call.

I walked in, and she told me to sit down next to her which I did.

Cool dream! Maybe some day, parts of it will come true, when you meet Molly in person.

I have had FOL dreams, but most of them I don't remember, either well, or not at all.

I remember dreaming that I was asked to animate a cartoon series based on The Facts of Life. I was supposed to come up with a pilot for the series, and sell it to the network.

Then The Julies came in to record their voiceovers for the pilot! I was stunned! Both Julie Anne and Julie Pie were in front of me. I began to tell them what a huge fan I was, and how honored I was that they had agreed to do the pilot, etc., Then I started explaining that, due to the magic of animation, I'd use their voices, but we could "de-age" them and put them back as their Eastland characters. However, I only got started on the explanation when Mindy and Felice came in to record their parts, too!

Well, now I was sweating bullets. I wasn't prepared for four actresses to record their dialog all at the same time. I hadn't even gotten the microphones set up. And THEN that's when I realized I didn't even have the script written yet...

More happened, but I only remember bits and pieces. Eventually, the entire cast was there, waiting on me, while I simultaneously tried to stall them AND somehow write the script, so they could record their parts. Then the animation began to play, in front of everyone, but it turned out it looked more like Dora the Explorer, as if I had drawn it that way. Ugh!

That was a pretty frustrating dream, although it started off promising.

I was telling her that I was sad that my affiliates didn't air the show all this time, and she gave me a big hug.

Well you sure remembered quite a bit of this one! But why did DreamRetro have Mindy show up instead of Molly?? Although, you did later say "the entire cast was waiting on me", so maybe Mols was there too?

Molly: "Hey! Lemme in your dream, ya scrawny nerfbag!"

Thanks! Love it! I'm quite sure I've never had this many sitcom dreams, or certainly don't remember them. Your Sanford and Son one really cracks me up!

Haha! I'm SURE Molly was there, since it was the whole cast. She may not have had many lines in my dream, but that was typical of post-Season One Molly Parker.
