I'd forgotten how funny this character is. When Fred and Barney called him at the restaurant (in Gazoo's first episode) you KNEW he'd be AWOL.

It's too bad they didn't come up with him earlier.

Gazoo is a funny character. I think it's the episode "Seeing Doubles" where Gazoo conjures up a double for Fred and a double for Barney, and all the Fred double can say is yes yes yes and all the Barney double can say is no no no.

I liked on today's when Gazoo turned Wilma and Betty into cackling hens!!

. Hanna Barbera basically ripped off The Honeymooners when they created The Flintstones, so I imagine they probably also ripped off My Favorite Martian when they created the Gazoo character.

Like I said in the other post The Flintstones are a new thing to me. I just turned 15 earlier this month and started watching them when they came on MeTV and they quickly became the best cartoon I have ever seen in my life. When I saw the Gazoo character for the first time I really had no idea what they were going to do with him but what they did was pure genius. He was not only really funny but he was really freaking cute as well. I love him. It was like when I first saw Dino and fell in love with him although I wish he kept on talking like he did in his first appearance.

So you're a teenager who likes 1960's TV shows? That is awesome. I also like 1960's TV shows but my age is 58 so I'm old enough to remember when some of these shows originally aired.

Yep, just turned 15 earlier this month. I think the shows back then are much better than the stuff from today. I really get into the ones that have teens in it like The Patty Duke Show and The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis. I really think The Flintstones is the best cartoon I have ever seen. Even better than The Simpsons and Phineas & Ferb.

Older animation is much better. You might like some of the other Hanna Barbera material from the 60s, like Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, Quick Draw McGraw, along with all the other minor characters that were on these and other HB shows.

I had forgotten how funny the Great Gazoo was. Brilliantly voiced by Harvey Korman.

Happy belated birthday to you, welcome to the forum also since you're a newbie.

The Flintstones is my favorite cartoon also. Hanna Barbera were animation kings in the 1960's but I think their best overall achievement was The Flintstones.

The Patty Duke Show is good, I like it but I haven't gotten into Dobie Gillis.

Lots of great TV shows were made in the 1960's. Sitcoms, dramas. The one type of show I don't really like is westerns, I've never cared much for westerns.

I don't get Boomerang but I doubt it. A lot of them are available on Amazon prime video, and some on DVD.

Except Quick Draw. Along with Warners' Speedy Gonzalez, he's been banished from today's scene.

Patty Duke is a really great show. All the stars except Paul O'Keefe are gone now, but William Shallert lived to a very old age--I think his last appearance was on a Zack and Cody episode around 2006.

There's a really funny episode where Ross tapes Patty and Cathy at a slumber party, and they go to great lengths to find the tape. Then they turn the table on him.

Thank You for the birthday wishes. My Mom and Dad tell me about shows from when they were my age like from the 90's Full House, Save By The Bell, Blossom and stuff like that. They know I am a bit weird cuz I am in the 60's music and even the Fashion from then. It is even before there time as they were both born in the 70's. Hahaha

Boomarang seems to show a lot of Scooby Doo and Tom and Jerry. That is all I usually see when I flip it on.
