Anyone remember the Nancy Manni case? She was a member of the Seafarer’s Union who was murdered and dumped in Chesapeake Bay? Unsolved Mysteries interviewed her ex boyfriend Billy Mesmer? He was initially a suspect and Robert Stack read his poem, “Night Stalker?” Billy willingly participated in the filming of the segment?

That's very odd. I always thought he and her were a strange relationship....

He's also claimed that he and Nancy were about to get engaged prior to her murder. Tony Sacco was the son of the president of the Seafarer's Union and allegedly one of Nancy's more recent boyfriends, but the rest of Mesmer's comments sound like the usual conspiracy theory.

Maybe UM edited it out, but the disdain he uses to speak of Nancy is kinda shocking. He says she was a manipulator and a liar and if I’m reading correctly, even accuses her of a few crimes along the way.

If he was spouting that kind of hate when the segment was filmed, I applaud the editors for making him look like a rational, caring ex-boyfriend.

I cant say I'm surprised this guy still has a lot of weird **** floating around in his head. I'll go out on a limb and say this is the actual reason he can't get gainful employment (it's not because he's "persecuted for this woman's death")

What I don't understand is even bringing it up after all these years. He didn't go on trial. He wasn't wrongfully convicted. He didn't serve any time. Somebody else did. It's been over 20 years now. Why is this even still something he feels the need to "set the record straight" about?

My guess is he has a victim mentality. I have no background in psychology or anything close to it, but it's palpable in the little manifesto he wrote.

I don't think I've ever seen that reaction to a UM wiki article before. This page looked like it was all fact-based to me, with no particular bias

How well do you actually know someone? I mean really know them.

I didn't know what was going on in her life until we were no longer dating. We broke up because I couldn't handle her promiscuity. I told her when she learned to be a one man kinda gal to come see me. We got together over drinks and dancing. It got serious over the next year, but she was torn between 4 different men and 2 different women. I thought she was coming around a year later after she got off of her latest ship. She was thinking about getting out of the Union and doing something else. And yes, we spoke of marriage and thought about an engagement to see how it went. Never got a chance to happen. Let me say this one more time. Our relationship had been over for months.

The thing you don't know or will never understand is why she faked her own death. YES! AND she did it with the help of the Union President Mike Sacco his son Tony Sacco, his right hand man Mike Alioto and his son Daniel Alioto. I saw her with my own eyes sitting with Tony Sacco at a local bar in May of 2013.

Now, The first thing you are going to say is B.S.! Well, I checked to make sure it was actually her. It is kinda impossible to remove the 2" scar on her right calf she received when she fell through a rotten floor in the Philippines back in 1992 and cut her leg open on a rusty nail. Had to go to a veterinarian clinic at a wealthy man's horse farm to get a tetanus shot. It was her. Same mannerisms, same hair style, same drink in her hand (double vodka tonic with extra stir straws), SAME GUY! and JUST to be sure, I introduced myself to the bartender who was 5 feet from the two of them. Nancy popped and spun her back to me instantly. Tony looked up from his drink with eyes so big I thought they were going to pop out on to the bar. I looked Tony straight in the eye and mouthed the words, "You MutherF***er" Then the two of them bolted. I tried to see if there was video footage from the bar. Only the registers were canvased. My cell phone was in my car. No luck that day.

FYI:
Tony is dead over 6 years now (27th of Feb is right around Nancy's birthday). Funny how is Obit says nothing of how he died.
A close childhood friend of the Sacco Family told me that Tony had come to him only days before he died asking for an ounce of Cocaine. Now I don't understand why that is because Tony was always flush with that crap back in the late 80's early 90's. Why would Tony be digging up an old friendship over 40 years removed to score? This person couldn't help Tony out and sent him on his way. You drop Tony Sacco's name in St. Mary's Co to this day and you will get nothing but disdain. First words out of people's mouths are, Jesus! What a POS!

John O'Meara died with a needle in his arm 2 days after he was released from parole and probation (on March 5th) almost to the day, 3 years after Tony. THEY WERE BOTH 55 at the time of their deaths. The biggest cocaine traffickers in the world that have been caught to date. Possibly responsible for 170 tons of cocaine over a 15 year period. When they got busted one of them was cleaning house, killing possible witnesses. Car bombs, open street assassinations, you name it. The targets were apparently the smugglers who actually did the leg work. THIS IS THE SAME TIME NANCY WAS GETTING DEATH THREATS ON THE SHIPS SHE WAS WORKING. As a ship's steward she was uniquely qualified to hide anything she wanted to bring into the country. Also, O'Meara was outspoken about human trafficking. We all know they smuggle people all over the world. AND THEY HAVE TO USE SHIPPING CONTAINERS OR SHIP CARGO HOLDS TO DO IT. Now, they would need someone in the steward's department to feed and water those people or you end up with a container full of dead bodies. SIU is up to their eyeballs in this sort of stuff to this day!

Nancy Manni is Alive and I think she, or someone close to her, is cleaning house trying to make a clean break. Maybe She found Tony's stash and offed him for it? Poison is after all a woman's first choice as a weapon. Here is the million dollar question. Who took Nancy's place in the grave? I bet you dollars to doughnuts that if you were to check the SIU records from back in 1993 you WILL find that there was another woman about Nancy's age, build, hair color, etc. who was at the school when she was there. The local authorities identified her body using union records only. They had Nancy's dental records, finger prints, everything. How easy do you think it would have been for these men to switch her credentials with this other woman's? I believe she has assumed this other woman's identity with the help of Mike Socco, Mike Alioto, Tony Sacco. This would have given her a bullet proof identity and a passport. I also believe that this is the exact same thing that happened to Ms. Elizabeth Greenberg. I believe that Ms. Greenberg maybe alive as well, or at least she was in 1993.

I'll be 55 this March. I'm clean (as always) sober (that was a tough one).
I do not wish to harm myself or anyone else for that matter. But I AM going to see this through.

I was a "caring ex-boyfriend" as you say, at the time of the filming in 1995. Yes, they did edit a lot out. Shame on UM for doing so. There was a lot more to this story at the time but UM decided to paint their own segment of events. UM will never let the truth stand in the way of a good story.

I didn't want to do this segment on UM but Nancy's family from Detroit were on me hot and heavy to do it. They came here to Maryland and just showed up on my doorstep unannounced demanding that I do it. David, Nancy's older brother (or should I say pet gorilla @ 6' 2" and 280 lbs of muscle) threatened me that if I didn't do it there would be a price to pay. I singed those UM release papers under duress from the Manni Family. David, Nancy's kid sister (I forgot her name), and her "best friend from California, all were standing off set watching everything that I said and did. It was very unsettling. I had a mobbed up family from Detroit who have a dead mobbed up sister they think I killed IN MY HOUSE with a film crew. What was I supposed to do?

But then by sheer accident, I learned the truth. I was as stunned as anyone else would be. Tell me. How else would a rational thinking person react to such revelations?

Funny thing about people. You never really know them until you dig, or they die. Then it all comes out in the wash sort of speak. Those poems were not about her or anyone else for that matter. She read them, asked for copies, so I gave them to her. A few were about her, but UM only picked the one (out of over a hundred) to paint their own picture. The one in question is about dreams and nightmares. But, UM took it completely out of context to make me look psycho.

UM will never let the truth stand in the way of a good story.

I will say that when I logged on today, I did not expect to see this. Thanks for responding. And thank you for reminding me once again that folks who have participated on UM are actual, living people and we're talking about their actual lives.

So, with that being said, I DO have some questions, if you're willing to answer them:

1. When interviewed, you believed that Nancy had been murdered and you were possibly next. Now, it seems that you think Nancy is alive and there is a decoy body where Nancy should be? How does that explain John O'Meara confessing to murdering her when she rejected his sexual advances?

2. I obviously do not know everything about Nancy. I know what I saw on television and what I've been able to find thus far on the Internet. Having been in complicated relationships myself, I know that I am barely scratching the surface on anything. If you and Nancy were discussing reconciliation of your relationship just prior to her death (my source for this information is your blog), why would you be the so-called "fall guy" for her death?

3. I do not understand the significance of the age 55. Can you explain that to me?

4. For what it's worth, I do not think UM portrayed you to look like a psycho. I actually thought you got a good edit. It seemed like you really cared about Nancy and wanted to get to the bottom of the circumstances of her death, like any good friend would.

5. What is the endgame here? Why would Nancy and company be faking their deaths? I ask this not to be condescending, but because I am genuinely curious. Is the Seafarer's Union now NOT involved? Or am I to understand that they are facilitating human trafficking and that's why everything is being covered up?

You made some comments that concern me. I think I can safely say that no one wants to be reading your obituary. Congratulations on your continued sobriety-- i work with recovering addicts and I know how difficult overcoming addictions can be. I hope you have a good support system that can help you.
