Default Antenna TV 2020 schedule

I'm checking daily on their website for it's release and can't wait to see what's going where. Someone post it as soon as it's out!!

I'm hoping for "Who's the Boss" and "It's a Living" to get placed in the 7pm to 11pm prime time hours and i'll be happy. I haven't seen either show in ages and can't wait to see them again. The rest i'm not too crazy about.

I remember a couple years ago someone who had inside info posted the schedule here before it was even released on the Antenna TV website. But if that person doesn't come back, I can wait another week.

It's the first time in a while i've been excited about a new schedule on this channel.

Who’s The Boss? I’m looking forward to as well! Although Who’s The Boss? will not start until The 4th Quarter Fall Schedule 2020.

I’m currently here watching Dennis the Menace and a commercial came on saying That Girl starts January 2nd instead of just saying Starting in January.

FALL 2020 for Who's the Boss? NO!! Did you read that officially? I was most anticipating that one. What a freaking bummer.

I guess it's just "It's a Living" I have to look forward to then. I do like "That Girl" and can watch it again. It's been a few years since I went through the series on DVD and I enjoyed it enough.

The other 6 new shows (That Girl, Diff'rent Strokes, The Facts of Life, It's a Living, Designing Women, and NewsRadio) that have been announced are all premiering in January, but Who's the Boss? was confirmed it won't be starting until fall.

snowpeck used to post the advance schedules but doesn't have access to Antenna TV's inside information any more. NewsRadio is known for having a New Year's Day marathon and the night of January 2 joining the weeknight schedule at 12:30AM where Murphy Brown currently is. The SO blog here posted about it a few days ago. No other schedule specifics have been released at this point.

I used to think Antenna TV was nice enough to do a tribute marathon for any actor who was a major part of a show on their current lineup (wouldn't expect it for someone who only appeared occasionally). But they just pay tribute to selected favorites and ignore others. Bill Daily from I Dream of Jeannie no marathon was ever planned. And this week I had sent Antenna a message saying I hope they will be airing a Benson tribute marathon for Rene Auberjonois. They don't have any plans for a Benson marathon at this time, it's never even had one marathon on Antenna. Rene was not on the first season, but played a major role in the next six they surely could have found enough episodes to air featuring him. Even if Benson is one of the shows expiring at the end of 2019, it's not like Benson is totally buried in the graveyard hours as it has a decent 4PM slot on weekdays. Robert Guillaume also died a few years ago, but I think that is before Antenna TV's rights started.

Catsrule,

This kinda reminds me of when Alan Young passed away from Mister Ed. Antenna TV had the rights to the show at the time and did not do a Marathon for Mr. Young.

Thanks so much for posting this new schedule! "It's a Living" at 8pm is fantastic and just what I was hoping for!!

The morning/afternoon is great too. I love that Jeannie & Bewitched are staying put in their regular slots and "Facts" at 3pm is good.

I'll also come back at 9pm for "Family Ties" and 10pm for "Designing Women". I'm also glad they put Carson at 11pm where he belongs.

The ONLY minor complaint I have about this schedule is "Wings" at 2am where I can't see it, but overall, i'm happy as a clam over the new schedule.

Again, thanks so much for posting it!!

EDIT to add: "That Girl" at noon is great also. I was getting tired of the Partridges and will tune into that too. Love it!!

In my excitement I didn't even see the Marathon info.

I also love that McHale's Navy is back on Saturday evenings. I missed the old time Sat. night lineup they had a couple of years ago. I wish Burns & Allen came on afterwards instead of Hazel, but i'll take what I can get.

I like the schedule for the most part.

I can record shows like It's a Living, Johnny Carson, etc. so it doesn't really matter to me when they are on because I can just record them and watch them later.

Pros:
It's a Living gets a great 8PM timeslot.
Wings back at 9PM Sundays is great news!
The fact that shows like Dear John, Head of the Class, Hogan Family, Silver Spoons, Benson, etc. are staying is a very good sign that they will be here for a long time to come.
Less Barney Miller, Archie Bunker's Place, & Alice. Don't get me wrong, I like all 3 shows, but it's good to see them getting reduced. I only wish It's a Living were getting a full hour instead of Three's Company getting 8:30. But It's a Living also gets a full hour at 10PM on Sundays, so that's great.

Cons:
I don't like that they're moving Sabrina, the Teenage Witch so early in the morning--both on Weekdays and Weekends. I can (and will) watch my DVDs of the show but those have music replaced and the Antenna versions don't.
Becker being significantly reduced, but I kinda saw it coming. At least Coach is also really pushed to the wayside in this schedule, must really be doing poorly, having Growing Pains & The Hogan Family in the 7pm hour instead is a huge upgrade.
NewsRadio gets off to a bad start, but that could change given that it's being given a huge New Year's Day that I'm really looking forward to.

All in all, those are my opinions.

That Girl has a good spot on Saturday nights. Now if only they would stop crunching the credits this network would be watchable.

Coach is hardly doing poorly despite your intense hatred of it. They wouldn't keep it in primetime leading into totally new pickup It's a Living on Sunday nights if Coach was a flop. And 9:30PM is a higher HUT (households using television) time than 7PM, Coach and Growing Pains basically switched places on Sunday nights with GP getting the lesser slot now. Hogan Family is thrown a one airing primetime bone after Growing Pains. Its weeknight time at 3AM is much worse than the midnight slot Coach does not get demoted from, leading into another new show. You were convinced Coach would leave completely, but Antenna obviously still wanted it in 2020, and they are leading it into two of their new/returning after a long absence pickups. Even if Coach starts to do poorly like you hope, that will just take down NewsRadio on weeknights and It's a Living on Sunday nights with it that you are looking forward to.
