"The Price is Right" Meets "SEAL Team" in CBS Primetime Special

CBS has announced that The Price is Right at Night: A Holiday Extravaganza with the Cast of SEAL Team will air Sunday, Dec. 22 at 8/7c.

There, David Boreanaz and a few "SEAL Team" costars will welcome an audience full of active-duty military and veterans, while playing for Headstrong Project, a charity which provides mental health treatment for post-9/11 veterans and their families.

“I grew up watching The Price is Right with my grandma, so it was like a dream come true,” "SEAL Team‘s" Neil Brown Jr., who plays Ray, tells TVLine. “Looking at it as a kid, you’re like, ‘I’m never gonna get there,’ and then you’re like, ‘Oh, I’m here! How about that? Pretty cool.'”

Since The Price Is Right launched it's popular Million Dollar Spectaculars in the 2000's we had not seen any The Price Is Right primetime specials being made anymore. With this upcoming The Price Is Right special airing soon CBS has put together a smart idea by putting the cast of Seal Team to play TPIR with contestants of miltary and retired veterans. If this special is successful you can bet that CBS will create more The Price Is Right At Night specials in the future and maybe the next special will feature the Survivor contestants or Big Brother contestants or even the Blue Bloods cast. Now if only Let's Make A Deal could do a primetime special too?

I’m not sure if there were others, but I know that The Price is Right had a prime time edition featuring the CBS reality show stars a few years ago.

Hi, Bestie! I think TPIR is doing good with these specials. I think they should do some with soap opera stars too. What do you think?
