I wonder why he didn't know he had one?
Also in some past posts some have wondered when Fred's wife did. Considering his Niece named after Elizabeth and assuming the niece was 18 and since this is a 1974 episode, that means she would have been born in 1956. Maybe that answers the question on when Elizabeth died. |

According to this web site, Elizabeth died 23 years before show start in 1972 which make date of her death 1949. Supposedly Lamont was only 7 year old at that time. https://sanfordandson.fandom.com/wiki/Elizabeth_Sanford |

Sometimes these Wiki write ups aren't always correct.
It also says Fred and his wife moved to L.A. in 1946 but they had to have been there earlier since Fred started his business in 1939. The episode where they were celebrating their 35th anniversary was from 1974 I think. |

There are a lot of continuity errors throughout the series, so it is hard to figure out some things. In one episode, Lamont says his birthday is in February (Ebenezer Sanford), and in another episode, Lamont is supposedly a Libra (Libra Rising All Over Lamont).
