An arrest has been made in the Grim Sleeper case. The suspect's name is Lonnie Franklin, Jr. He will be charged with ten murders connected to the case.
The so-called Grim Sleeper is a California serial killer whose known killings occurred 1985 and 2007. The nickname was given because the killer apparently went without killing for lengthy periods of time. The case has been profiled on the TV show America's Most Wanted. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/...meqKgD9GQE62G4 http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lano...-killings.html |

This must be such a relief to all the families and the surviving victim. If he wasn't in prison during the hiatus, it makes you wonder if there were murders during that period that the police either never found out about or did not link to the Grim Sleeper.
Thanks for the update, Kane! |

I watched this case profiled on ID's show, The Face of Evil, and boy was Lonnie Franklin Jr that. What a vicious heartless animal. I don't think he stopped at all. He just didn't leave his DNA every time.
Points for familial dna testing. I know it's controversial, but I think the good far outweighs any bad. That man was a killing machine with no stopping in sight. |
