The NBC comedy's new character Brent Norwalk, played by Ben Kokdyke, is a familiar type who has been taken down in the #MeToo movement. "But the show isn’t setting out to simply treat Brent as a punchline or human piñata—after all, human piñatas don’t taste like candy when you break them open, reports the reformed demon and afterlife architect Michael," says Spencer Kornhaber. "In order to save humankind from hell, the protagonists must coax their new charges into becoming better people. The Good Place thus must furnish an answer to the riddle of how to not just punish male creeps but to also fix them.
