My original schedule in this thread came before the That Girl pickup news was known, and the rumor of It's a Living coming (if that even ends up happening). First I will do a revised schedule for January with That Girl added, then I might do one later for September with Who's the Boss? and It's a Living also added.

January- Besides all five new pickups, none of the entertainment shows currently airing would leave the schedule completely.

5:30AM Dennis the Menace
6-7AM The Joey Bishop Show
7-8AM Burns and Allen

Nice schedules from all, very creative, but not at all likely......1st EI programming is a FCC legal requirement for over the air stations to provide educational programming for children 4 hours a week. Somehow "Saved By The Bell" fell into that category hence why it airs in the the metv EI block.

If Antenna follows their usual longterm type of scheduling, they will continue airing series in one hour blocks, I seriously believe Joey & McHale will be leaving the schedule.

Remember this is about ratings which translate to money and tribune is in chapter 11 (owner of Antenna TV)

As for That Girl I am very certain it will be in a hour morning block between 6am-11am.

Andy Griffith has never aired on Antenna TV, its diginet is Me TV. 3 hours of E/I programming a week is the requirement. Antenna adds an extra hour that isn't necessary, plus they could easily move the E/I block earlier so more entertainment shows can have better slots. It has been said that 7AM is the earliest legal time the E/I shows can air. I agree Merry's removing the E/I completely idea won't happen, although it would be nice. That would be a real waste if That Girl is relegated to mornings from the start. It should at least start out in afternoons or evenings like many of Antenna's new pickups have. That Girl would also have a lot more mass appeal than NewsRadio (that show will flop hard) or Designing Women being where Marlo Thomas got her start.

Thank you, I stand very corrected sincerely, I was very sleepy when i wrote original post mistaking andy griffith on antenna, of course alice is on antenna at 8PM eastern. I have since deleted the mistake from the post but public-ally acknowledge.

The mock fantasy schedules are always fun to read, I agree and think That Girl should be in the evenings or afternoon, maybe when/if "It's A Living" joins the antenna line-up they will create a power women block along with Alice.

Thanks!

I personally think that 227, Coach, Gimme a Break, Maude, & McHale's Navy will be removed/expired with January. I also think That Girl will likely go to early afternoons. Alice will likely at least stay where it is, and I can see them pairing Designing Women up with Alice and Diff'rent Strokes and The Facts of Life will definitely be paired up with lots of Time slots I'm predicting. NewsRadio will probably be Weekends at night. If they add It's a Living, there's no doubt it'd get primetime. Those are my predictions.

With It's a Living confirmed for a January launch, a revised schedule for then. Too bad it didn't wait for September with Who's the Boss?, 6 new shows now coming all in January. NewsRadio will almost certainly flop, and there are so many better 90s shows than Designing Women. I do really like the Facts of Life, Diff'rent Strokes, and That Girl pickups.

What's New January 2020: It's a Living, Diff'rent Strokes, The Facts of Life, That Girl, Designing Women, NewsRadio

What's Leaving: Dennis the Menace, McHale's Navy, Becker, Dear John, Webster, What's Happening!, What's Happening Now!

Weekdays- 5-8PM would be a vast upgrade over what those hours have now, would sure be nice if that part of my schedule stuck.
5AM Valerie/The Hogan Family
5:30AM Silver Spoons
6AM 227
6:30AM Gimme a Break!

I had not known Crystal Bernard was a regular in It's a Living right before Wings. I revised my schedule in post #9 so they would be back-to-back in primetime weeknights. Still not sure if I would like It's a Living, sounds pretty raunchy from the description in my primetime directory. But Crystal being in the cast makes me more interested in it now.

since their owners-Tribune-are in chapter 11; then that explains why Antenna TV's crunching the credits to save money. So unfortunately don't except that to stop anytime soon.

I like all shows listed but think antenna tv should broadcast shows other channels dont show. Metv already has different strokes and facts of life. How about showing happy days and laverne and shirley.

Laverne & Shirley would be a perfect fit for Antenna TV. I wish they would get the rights to it. I was never crazy about Happy Days, but i'd watch it it came to the channel.

MeTV won't have Strokes and Facts any more, they are expiring at the end of 2019 and moving to Antenna TV. I prefer them on Antenna as I get that channel and not MeTV. Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley would be good pickups, but MeTV might still be holding onto their rights even though they haven't aired in awhile.
