Katey Sagal to Visit "The Conners"

Katey Sagal on Monday was “pleased to announce” (via Twitter) that she’ll appear on an upcoming episode of ABC’s "The Conners".

TVLine has learned that her character Louise will be appear in the Dec. 11 episode (8/7c), titled “O Sister, Where Are Thou?”

Katey Sagal Eyed to Return to "The Conners" for Major Season 2 Stint

TVLine has learned exclusively that "The Conners" is courting Katey Sagal to return for a significant Season 2 stint. She would reprise her Season 1 guest-star role of Louise, a former high school friend of Dan and Roseanne’s who left Lanford to pursue a career in music.

Now back in town and tending bar at Casa Bonita, Louise made a play for Dan in last season’s 8th episode, but the grieving widow (gently, respectfully) rebuffed her advances.

An ABC rep declined to comment for this story.

It’s now official: Katey Sagal has closed a deal to return "The Conners" in Season 2 — and she’s poised to make another play for John Goodman’s widower Dan.

“We’re taking it slow,” showrunner Bruce Helford says of a potential Dan-Louise romance. “She wants a relationship. She wants romance. She is not giving up. But Dan is still having difficulty. He’s struggling with whether he’d be betraying [Roseanne] if he does move toward someone else. And can he ever find that feeling with anybody else?”

That's cool. I always wanted to see the Bundys meet the Conners they would have made great neighbors.
