Oh No There's an Exodus at my Church!

With my ex-boss pushed into retirement...I feel sad about this.

I'm gonna get a card for him...he already celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary last weekend. He was tough as nails...but he's family to me!

My church family has left the place I work at. I need to find a better job...and fast! I may make the move to become a member of another Lutheran Church by the end of the month...and if my "pastor" dislikes this...just give me the pink slip!

My "pastor" isn't into The Lutheran Doctrine...at least my last pastor had respect over The Lutheran Doctrine...the "pastor" I have now is into Prosperity Doctrine...and the people who used The Prosperity Doctrine...have seen it fail throughout...it seems that the "pastor" at my church probably saw a 900-foot Jesus one night!

I like the mainline protestant doctrine...I feel that when two or more people are together...that's church! I've seen every denomination from Catholic to Pentecostal, live or on television...they have opinions, but they love God and Jesus.

I know that if I lose a friend or two...Catholic, Mainline, or Evangelical...I'll see them on the other side. I'll have a few that I'll have to say good-bye when they die because...they won't have eternal joy (the one that may hurt the most is my sister).

But...my "pastor" tore-down the gardens and the stage that were part of the ministry of my church and never told anyone. I think this is wrong...even my previous pastor didn't go to the extremes...the last pastor, in my humble opinion, was the Michael Eisner of that church...he built it up, but tore it down at the same time because his ego got in his way...and yet...he NEVER went to extremes!

Like many who left my church...I should move-on....

Really sorry to hear of the continued issues within your church, and glad it hasn't shaken your faith.

More people become agnostic/atheist all the time but that does NOT mean they're necessarily liberal.

I fall into the non-religious category but am NOT a liberal considering how INSANELY far left they've gone!!

I'm not a fan of the Prosperity Doctrine, however well-intentioned some of its advocates may be. I am mindful of Matthew 6:24: You can't serve both God and Mammon.

Oh No My ex-boss last day is this Wednesday...

My ex-boss showed me a text message he got from my "pastor"...he said that "you did a lot of things that are unnecessary...but I'll be praying for you"!

Translation..."yeah, I don't like you, so I found a way to let you go...don't let the door hit you where the Lord split you...goodbye"!

My "pastor" disliked my ex-boss...he doesn't like me either...and I know that he'll fire me over something dumb...but I'll let LCMS know about this as well as my lawyer if he does that...and on my 37th Birthday...I'm renouncing my membership at the church I work at...and if he needs to talk to me...I'm gonna have my brother with me!

At one point...I felt like the prophet David calming King Saul, but Saul is about to throw the spear. And if my brother is there to defend me...I'll feel like Moses who has Aaron to help assist the words while talking to Pharaoh.

And all this HAD to happen on the 3rd anniversary without my mother! I don't need this!

I'd love to be a pastor since I can write on what the scriptures would say on that Sunday...but I'd feel I contradict myself every-time I'd read a sermon...I don't have the guts to be a leader of a church or a country....

Well...that is true...

...maybe that's why I give the benefit-of-doubt toward the televangelists, since they will read through a script or a teleprompter...and they trust the writers and the Holy Spirit on what to read.

I'm no writer for a televangelist...and I doubt that Grace Cathedral (home of Ernest Angely's ministry and WBNX) needs a sermon writer...plus, I may be TOO Lutheran for them...but then again...many people in the televangelist world...has respected Martin Luther in 2017 than my "pastor" ever did!

Eek My "pastor" is leaving on Super Bowl Sunday!

I'm a little concerned since he may dissolve my job position and make me a volunteer.

But I too joined the exodus...I found a new church and I'm gonna be a member this Sunday!
