Default Finally spent the weekend making DVD's of It's A Living

We all know our favorite waitresses from Above The Top will never make it to DVD, even though they are heavily edited on Logo Channel, at least Logo has given the series a real chance again for original & new viewers to enjoy the antics, laughs and especially beauty of our favorite females & Sonny too!

Spent the weekend in total binge putting the first 35 episodes to DVD with commercials perfectly deleted, even with the edited scenes gone, without commercials the episodes are quite enjoyable in fast 21 minute episodes.

I don't think I will be doing a complete series set as the first 3 seasons are my favorite due to the perfectly sexy "Cassie" and adorable "Dot". I did find notice many "Mary Hartman" type sayings in the only season (2) featuring Louise Lasser and the living room set of "What's Happening" was used as her house.

Great memories as I was an original fan and remain loyal to the almost forgotten TV series.

Back in mid-November 1986, when the old CBN channel got back around to the start of season 5 of their "Hazel" reruns, I started watching the new "It's A Living" shows, followed by a 5th season

"Hazel" episode- using my VCR to time-shift both shows (I felt like one supposedly inferior version of a show deserved another.) Oh, and the "HazeL" episode would be one where the teenage

character, Millie, appeared- I think you can guess who I pretended she was.
This year, I got the 5th season "Hazel" DVDs, and once again I watched "It's A Living" 4th season shows followed by "Hazel" shows in which Millie appeared (I still have some tapes of the CBN

Hazels, but I haven't been able to find most of what I wanted to watch- and CBN cut whole scenes out, to run more commercials.)

Millie's appearance changed a bit from the first episode pic on the left to the last episode pic on the right (and her behavior became a bit more mature as well). In the first scene of the last episode, she seems a bit like she's trying to play someone like Mae West.

Adorable! Yes I own the entire "Hazel" series and Miss Jillians' first acting role is to me season 5's only savior! LOL......great post......btw i also enjoyed the sadly only one season of "Jennifer Slept Here" on NBC, have most of the series on dvd and thought it was a cute & harmless premise.

The only thing I remember seeing in "It's A Living" that Logo cut out, I mentioned in another thread- in the episode about the fire, Sonny sings"On Top Of Old Smokey, Cassie puts her hand over Sonny's mouth... And here Logo jumped to the next scene, but in the original broadcast Cassie muttered, "Play something else," and Sonny sang,"Come on, baby, light my fire!"
