"You can give your hair that summer look" so began the jingle for Summer Blonde a hair color by Clairol that had the most interesting commercial that debuted in the 1960's that was also produced in a colorized commercial. When the commercial begins a blond girl is playing on the beach then shown on a ski vacation and is one of Clairol's most funnest commercials. There is a longer Summer Blonde commercial with a longer version of the jingle. Another interesting fact about this commercial is that the girl featured in the commercial was a model and actress. It's a surprise that during the 60's Clairol was king of hair care products and it would be cool if they brought back discontinued hair care products like Summer Blonde for the new generation of women and I bet Clairol would make a haircare line full of all their classic haircare products to be released again
