Season 1
A Man About the House
And Mother Makes Four
No Children No Dogs

Season 2
Jack Looks For a Job
Strange Bedfellows
Will the Real Jack Tripper?

Season 3
The Fast
Eleanor’s Return
The Bake Off

Season 4
A Camping We Will Go
Mighty Mouth
Handcuffed

Season 5
Upstairs Downstairs Downstairs
The Not So Great Imposter
Dying to Meet You

Season 6
Two Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
Eyewitness Blues
Up in the Air

Season 7
A Night Not to Remember
Breaking Up is Hard to Do
Jack’s Double Date

Season 8
She Loves Me She Loves Me Not
Out on a Limb
Jack’s Tattoo

And I am mentioning one runner up for each season:
It’s Only Money
Janet’s Promotion
The Older Woman
Larry Loves Janet

Urban Plowboy
Cousin Cuisine
The Odd Couples

Season 1

Season 1 is my favorite of the Chrissy era. I preferred the naïve and innocent Chrissy over the dumb Chrissy.

1) Roper’s Niece

2) Jack, The Giant Killer

3) No Children, No Dogs

Season 2

Notice Janet aged 10 years between season 1 and 2. Also, I think season 2 would have been even more funny if Larry was used more.

1) Cyrano De Tripper

2) Ground Rules

3) Strange Bedfellows

Season 3

I prefer this season over season 2, but the Chrissy character was starting to annoy me.

1) The Bake Off

2) Larry’s Bride

3) Eleanor’s Return

Season 4

Season 4 is my least favorite season because I thought the Chrissy character was kinda annoying.

1) Jack’s Graduation

2) Mighty Mouth

3) Jack the Ripper

Season 5

I think season 5 is underrated and it was hard to pick (3) from that season. I thought there were a lot of classic episodes from that season.

1) Teacher’s Pet

2) Dying to Meet You

3) Double Trouble

Season 6

Season 6 is my favorite season of Threes Company. So picking (3) episodes from season 6 was very hard to do. I can list many more episodes.

1) Critic’s Choice

2) Eyewitness Blues

3) Lies My Roommate Told Me

Season 7

Like other post Chrissy seasons, I was hard to narrow it down to (3). My favorite of this season is when he fights Biff Bower.

1) Jack Gets His

2) The Impossible Dream

3) Jack Goes the Distance

season 8

This season gets all the hate, but I liked more than (3) episodes even if the storylines were re-hashed from past seasons. As long as they are funny is all that matters to me. As it gets deeper into season 8's chronological order, I gets harder to watch because its the end of the show. I still think they should have done a season 9.

1) Now You See It, Now You Don’t

2) Jack Takes Off

3) The Odd Couples

I also prefer early Chrissy. I agree with you about Season 4. Chrissy's too-dumb-to-live act puts a damper on most of Season 4, which had some otherwise great episodes.

Season 1:
Roper's Niece
Man About The House
It's Only Money

Season 2:
Jack Looks For A Job
Chrissy's Night Out
Bird Song

Season 3:
Good Old Reliable Janet
The Bake-Off
Eleanor's Return

Season 4:
A Camping We Will Go
Chrissy's Hospitality
The Root Of All Evil

Season 5:
Downhill Chaser
Janet's Secret
Double Trouble

Season 6:
Some Of That Jazz
Two Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Up In The Air
Mate For Each Other
Eyewitness Blues
Jack's 10
Strangers In The Night
And Now Here's Jack

I guess season 6 is my favorite ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Season 7:
A Night Not To Remember
Diamond Jack
Jack Gets His Own Restaurant/Opening Night
Breaking Up Is Hard To Do
Jack Goes The Distance
Bob and Carol and Larry and Terri
Janet's Little Helper

I guess season 7 is also my favorite ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Season 8:
She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not
The Charming Stranger
Janet Shapes Up
Honorable Mention: Jack's Tattoo

Season 2 was a struggle for me because it's my least favorite, which I know is a minority opinion around here, whereas I could list half the entirety of seasons 6-7. Go figure.

Why is Season 2 your least favorite? Is it just that you are not a Suzanne fan or is there something else? If you don't want to say that's cool, I am just curious! Good list, btw

I was just discussing this with a friend earlier and it boils down to a few things:

1. I prefer the zany, physical comedy focus of the later seasons to the more outdated sexual innuendo of the early seasons. It's cozier and more comforting. I find it more fun to watch.
2. There's less Jack lusting after Chrissy for no reason other than BOOBS!!! later on. I know it was the 70s and they had a thin, white, sexy blonde that they needed to showcase, but that trope is boring to me.
3. I just like Terri better than Chrissy. *shrug*

I mean I could write you a good essay on why I prefer the later seasons, but that's the short of it. I understand a lot of people prefer Chrissy because that's the pop culture remembrance of the show, the original trio. But Terri was more on Jack and Janet's level, and it was fun to watch three completely capable people absolutely destroy every situation they found themselves in. I prefer the way Janet lightened up later on, how Joyce's physical comedy abilities and usage on the show increased. I prefer that the episodes were originals instead of carbon copies of Man About The House. I love Mr. Furley with my heart and soul. Etc, etc.

Thank you for your thorough answer! Why people like what they like is so interesting to me.

Good topic but it's a pain to go through all those episodes...LOL! I will say Up in the Air is one of the funniest episodes in SITCOM history!

I also agree Terri was much better than Chrissy and the Terri/Cindy years were better than the Chrissy years!
