Besides Punky Brewster and Police Academy, name some shows that you also saw George Gaynes appear on.
Before PB, I saw him on a S3 episode of Hawaii Five-O, sporting what appears to be a black mustache. |

He appeared on an episode of Cheers from the second season, called "Where There's a Will".

I know he appeared in the 1982 movie "Tootsie" with Dustin Hoffman.
I agree with the above poster. It's probably best to look up his acting credits on the imdb.

He also appeared in 1980 as mob boss Frank Smith on General Hospital, who inadvertently threw soaps' most popular supercouple of all time, Luke and Laura, together. The role was short-lived but very pivotal and memorable.
Here are some video clips of him in the role: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQXcu...eature=related (comes in at the 4:40 mark) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UJMR...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifrzB...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jtn39...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBcDs...eature=related (6:19 mark) |
