I think most of the shows that I grew up in the 1970s and 80s. I find them absolutely cringeworthy today, stuff like Diff'rent Strokes, Facts of Life, Silver Spoons, Welcome Back, Kotter, etc.

I agree about the Facts of Life. Before Jo came the show was almost unwatchable but the later seasons are a little better. I'm on Season 5 now but I'm still not becoming a fan of it. The cast is great, just the writing is a little ridiculous and I hate the way the shows just seem to end without a real resolution.

Seinfeld is sooo dated, but still sooo funny!

The 50s and 60s sitcoms are REALLY dated. The landline phones would have even looked dated in the 70s. I'm old, but I never even used a phone like they have on Father Knows Best.

Rowan & Martin's Laugh In has become dated but I enjoy watching it for nostalgia reasons.

Many sitcoms from the 50's have become dated but there are a few timeless ones like I Love Lucy, Honeymooners classic 39, and Leave It To Beaver. In some ways, Father Knows Best has become dated but the episodes remain watchable. Amos N Andy is a funny show but is forbidden to be shown on TV because of the world we live in today.

The show was yanked off the air back then because of the NAACP, so it wasn't even acceptable when it aired in the 1950s.

I have two sets of the Amos N Andy series, a VHS set and a DVD set so I can watch the episodes anytime. The show should really have been called Kingfish N Andy because Amos was basically a secondary/supporting character and usually not given much to do in the episodes. Many of the episodes involved Kingfish trying to pull his latest swindle on Andy.

I saw one episode of Amos and Andy. Kingfish was going to perform a nickleectomy on Andy--it was funny.

A few episodes I can recommend are "Traffic Violations", "Kingfish's Last Friend", and "Andy Gets Married". All three of these are good.

Johnny Carson's Monologues, although some of his interviews hold-up.

Yes. They are so cringeworthy, especially when he tries to be edgy and slip in some sex reference. The 1970s and 1980s audiences always went wild, but I always look like this--> .

Some of the skits have also aged badly, like Tea Time with Art Fern and The Amazing Kreskin.
