Default Ending of "Breaking Up is Hard to Do"

Hello! First time poster on here, but I've had other accounts in year's past that I've lost the log-in info to.

What I'm wondering is, what did Ray whisper to Terri towards the end? The videos online I've seen of the episode all cut off right after this happens.

Jack asks Terri what Ray said. She replies, "He said, 'Don't eat the salad.'" Jack and Janet faint because they think it meant he really did poison the salad. But then Terri adds that he saw a worm in the salad, and that's why he told her not to eat it. I've always wondered if he really did poison it, though.

Why would you wonder that?? He told Terri it was because of the worm. If he actually poisoned it he probably wouldn't have said anything and just let them eat the salad!

1) He might have told her the worm story because by then the police had been called, and if the roommates dropped dead after eating the salad he'd be the first suspect. When he seasoned the salad he wasn't aware that anyone knew his history, so perhaps at that point he thought he could get away with it.

2) By the end of the episode the roommates had apologized to him so maybe he didn't feel like murdering anyone anymore.

3) If he had seen a worm in the salad, why was he going to let Terri eat it before Janet intervened?

4) He seemed a little nuts, so god only knows if his word could be trusted.

So yeah, lots of reasons to suspect that he actually poisoned the salad, despite what he said.

Maybe he didn't see the worm until AFTER Terri tried to eat the salad!

Plus I don't think the producers would have a TRIPLE murder hanging over a hit comedy show!

That's why nobody ate the salad, genius. They never found out, and the question of whether he poisoned the salad was funny.

Also, wouldn't Jack have spotted a worm? He prepared the salad.
