Default One Life To Live intro from 1992-1995

I discovered an intro of One Life To Live that first made it's debut in it's 1992 season and was used until 1995 and I would like to know more about it? When the intro starts it begins with a woman's sad eyes then switches to a blue background where a picture frame drops to the ground and breaks then a door slams then the scene switches to tearful eyes then switches again to a couple holding hands then a baby is later seen being held by the couple then the scene ends and the logo appears with the background of copper colored satin sheets. Was ABC trying to give One Life To Live a new image with this intro? Because I have never understood why One Life To Live wanted to use satin sheets in it's intro in 1992. The intro music used in this intro sounds kind of like the music you hear in a yoga class or a mystery video game and was composed by game show music composing company Score Productions
Why was this intro used for One Life To Live in 1992-1995?

Hi, Bestie! I never saw that intro. I wonder what the original was?

This is my favorite intro! I believe it is known as the Satin Sheets Intro. It was introduced when a new executive producer took over and wanted to bring the show into the 1990's.

The opening proved not to be very popular with long-time fans and was eventually replaced with another intro that was more popular with fans and was more similar to the classic "tour of llanview" opening from the 80's.

My grandmother watched One Life to Live religiously when I was a child, and I can remember when the series opener was a song that featured the line "Here's where you go when it looks like the rain won't end...

Funny how that has remained in my mind since I was a small child!!!

That's the version with the theme song sung by singer Peabo Bryson and it was a good version of the intro. It's weird that OLTL chose to make the intro with the satin sheets for the 1992 season rather than keep the theme song intro with Peabo Bryson. I guess ABC was trying something new with One Life To Live at the time

I found it on Youtube and I watched OLTL for a while back then. oh, I love that introduction! I believe the eyes belong to Jessica Tuck who played Megan

I didn't realize it was Peabo Bryson who was the singer of the theme song. The song must have been featured sometime during the late 80s or early 90s.

The satin sheets intro was introduced in-part because ABC wanted the opening of OLTL to resemble more closely the opening of their other soap "Loving" which had a very similar intro at the time.

ABC wanted the two shows to have some cohesion as part of the same line-up. I think they even had some of the same producers at one point.
