Default Eddie Albert as Mr. Wilson

Anyone else think Eddie Albert would have been good as Mr. Wilson... I can so see it for some reason.

Given his performance as Oliver Douglas, yes, I can see him pullied off the harried, harassed neighbor character very well. Eddie Albert was effective as both a comedic and a dramatic actor, and one could surmise he also would have made it through the entire run of the series.
But as OH Nuts! said, Joseph Kearns will always be *the* Mr. Wilson to me.

Walter Matthau ~who played Mr. Wilson in the 93 movie ~, in SOME WAY reminds me of Eddie Albert lol

Yes, there are many good actors out there like William Frawley, William Demarest who could have done a good job...but ONCE you see someone do the role REALLY REALLY Well - Like Joseph Kearns did - you kinda don’t want to picture anyone else.

I agree, I thought Kearns was the best, though I think Gale Gordon LOOKED visually more similar to the comic version of Mr. Wilson.

But yeah I've always seen a similarity between Eddie Albert and Walter Matthau ~movie Mr. Wilson ~ I was just think if they did a Green Acres movie in the early 90s, Walter Matthau would have been good as Oliver Douglas.
