Doris Day's only living relative is her grandson, Ryan Melcher, a successful Carmel real-estate agent. I've read that Doris was estranged from Ryan for a long time. I hope that she reconciled with him before she died. I googled his name and he is a decent, upstanding, successful person according to everything I read about him. He has a Facebook page.

I take it this boy is Terrys son. I was wondering if Terry had a family.

Yes, Doris's son Terry who had predeceased her by 14 years was Ryan's father. For what it's worth, it seems Ryan Melcher was proud of who Doris was and her achievements regardless of anything else.
