UP TV May Schedule Changes

May 27 schedule changes:

7:00 AM until 9:00 AM is Bringing Up Bates

The rest of the day is Family Feud, Home Improvement, and two Paid Programs

May 28 schedule changes:

The usual Whose Line Is It Anyway will still be on in the early morning, but Parenthood will be on from 7:00 AM until 9:00 AM.

It looks like Bringing Up Bates is also gone as well, but there will be an hour long episode on Thursday, May 30 from 10:00-11:00PM.

As for Family Feud, the XFINITY/Comcast on screen guide is showing a picture of Richard Karn, so it looks to be his run instead of Steve Harvey.

Good. I did not like seeing the Family Feud addition on UP, but the Richard Karn era is much preferable to overplayed Steve Harvey.

Me either. I just don't think Family Feud is even a good fit for UP at all, but it's nice that the Richard Karn version will have a new home. It's too bad I no longer have UP TV anymore because now I won't be able to watch his era of the show.

Wish his version would be on Game Show Network so it can replace Steve Harvey's version or Buzzr instead so I can watch it there.

The usual lineup of Heartland, 7th Heaven, and Gilmore Girls is preempted tomorrow (5/24) for an America's Funniest Home Videos marathon from 9AM-6PM. Then disaster movies will air from 6PM-2AM. Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend is all the Librarians movies starting at 3PM Saturday, and a marathon of the series all day Sunday, preempting the usual Sunday block of AFV and Home Improvement. Karn Feud's regular slot after the Memorial Day launch marathon will be Saturdays from 8-11AM.

It seems like there are a lot of major changes that are happening lately. Wonderama and Supernanny must have flopped really badly in the ratings, because those changes were very short lived.

This is what I would schedule for UP (not what they are actually doing). Whose Line is it Anyway would totally leave the schedule, it is not appropriate for a family oriented channel. Supernanny would also leave, with just being used as filler and leaving their schedule again it might expire at the end of May.

That’s interesting they are cutting back on the show now. I wonder if it’s just going to be for the summer or if it's indeed permanent. Is Home Improvement still going to be on though?

I also think that Harvey's Family Feud is a little too raunchy for UP. But I like the Harvey Family Feud.

It's not going to be the Harvey Family Feud. According to my cable guide, it's going to be the Richard Karn Family Feud.

The Home Improvement primetime audience was likely cannibalized by LAFF airing it every night from 9:00-11:00. UP might be better off airing it at 6-9PM (doubtful as Gilmore Girls has had a lock on 3-8 for a long time), or airing late nights for Home Improvement 11PM-1AM would be a big upgrade from Whose Line there. Home Improvement has the Memorial Day marathon tomorrow and will still have its 6 hour block on Sundays returning next week and the Monday primetime block.

I can see Home Improvement airing from 11PM-1AM replacing Whose Line and have Touched By An Angel replace the the Monday HI primetime block. Keep Home Improvement's Sunday 6 hour block, but just replace the Monday block with Touched By An Angel instead.
