Default Has the western genre died from TV?

In TV today I've noticed that westerns are no longer seen on TV and so it tells me that the western genre has died. Take for example the 50's and 60's to the 70's there were westerns like Rawhide Gunsmoke Bonanza Sky King The Rifleman The Big Valley and The High Chaparral and The Lone Ranger that were so fun to watch. But if you look at TV today you'll find very few westerns with the exception of TNT's Wynonna Earp being shown on TV and you would think that in between the sitcom channels they should develop plans for a cable channel that shows nothing but classic westerns besides Encore Westerns. Because I find it shocking that westerns have now become overlooked in TV today and I think a channel that has all westerns would be great because westerns like Sky King and the Annie Oakley series would be great to see on TV again

Hi, Bestie! Yes westerns are not seen mush anymore. I think it is because most of the shows are New York or L.A. and it is cheaper to film them in a studio instead of outside. Plus they are afraid of showing westerns as they think people are ashamed of their history.
