Default Shows You Liked but didn't like the main actor/character of the show

As title says, which shows did you like but didn't like either the main actor, or character of the show?

For me a few come to mind.
Wonder Years - after not too long, I didn't like Fred Savage as Kevin. But I liked the story of most episodes, Kevin's family: parents and older sister, and even Paul. Wayne was a little too obnoxious and dumb.
Cheers - Sam Malone after awhile.
The Good Wife - Didn't like Alicia/Julianna Marguiles that much but liked the writing and most of the rest of the characters.

Which ones for you?

She wasn't technically the lead actor, but was featured enough - Sandra Clark (Jackee) from 227 just annoyed the ever-loving crap out of me.

I wasn't very fond of Murphy Brown as a character or Candice Bergen as an actress, although I thought it was the best thing she ever did. I liked the other four main characters much more. But I hated the sleazy guy who played the painter and saw no point in that character being on the show.

I have always hated Laura Winslow of "Family Matters". The girl had a cute nerdy guy around, who did whatever she asked him to do and worshipped the ground she walked on. And yet, she kept drooling over a string of stupid pretty boys, out of which many were terrible jerks, who had never deserved her interest in the first place. But it was at least nice that the show didn't always want us to root for this shallow bitch, when she would do her rotten decisions.

I believe that the painter guy's name was Elvin. Yeah, I guess that the show didn't need him most of the time. But I did like that he became a father figure for Murphy's son Avery, whose real father was nowhere around to take his responsibility.

I didn't watch Roseanne for Roseanne, I watched it for John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf.

I didn't really watch Frasier to see Kelsey Grammer, I like him but I watched for Niles and Daphne.

I mostly watched Full House for the Olsen Twins but then I really got into Candace Cameron's DJ.

I didn't watch Growing Pains for Kirk Cameron, I like him just fine but I mostly watched because of Alan Thicke and Joanna Kerns, I love Jason and Maggie Seaver. I like Carol a lot too, Tracey Gold is adorable.

I watched Friends for Ross and Rachel, not really for any of the other characters. It's considered an ensemble cast but those two are my favorites.

I watched Golden Girls for Betty White's Rose Nylund and Estelle Getty's Sophia. They are my favorites.

At the time the show was on, I agreed. But looking back now, it's impressive how the writers of the show pushed the limits of how bad they could make it with Urkel.

Surely not! Steve likely saved the show from being cancelled after just one season, because it was kind of bland otherwise. And I adored him for the first eight seasons (until he was dumb enough to dump Myra for Laura).

The shows I mention below are really obscure because they were short-lived. But they were short-lived precisely because of a sucky main actor/lead character.

1. Crossbones (NBC)--This was a great network TV pirate show, but John Malkovich ruined it for me. He made the show unwatchable as "Blackbeard."

2. Alcatraz (FOX)--A great show with a bland, generic "bottle blonde" who had zero chemistry with anyone in the cast. But everyone else in it was great. (Sam Neill, Parminder Nagra, etc.)

I liked the show Glee but never liked the female lead which was Rachel/Lea Michelle.
