Heartbreaking!

I had the tremendous pleasure of touring Norte Dame Cathedral back in the 1980s while visiting Paris; such a stunning landmark and an enormous part of French history. Just think, the cathedral survived the French Revolution, but here it is today, in flames

If it gets demolished...which I'm afraid it will be...there's gonna be a lot of protests...

It won't be demolished, but the roof has completely gone.

It looks like Notre Dame Cathedral may take longer to be renovated than planned...there should be a new bell tower to reach 2019 feet...it may be taller than the Eiffel Tower.

I wonder what Pope Francis I will say?

This is beyond heartbreaking. One of my fondest memories of Paris is hanging out in front of the Notre Dame well after dark. Almost no one was around and there was a full moon out that night. It was incredibly serene.

This picture was taken on my first trip to Paris in the Fall of 2014.

It was so sad to watch it burning.

That building has seen so much history.

At least they were able to save some walls and the two front towers. Hopefully they can rebuild the roof.
