Default Any former Ioffer sellers on here?

I used to get a lot of bootleg sets of obscure shows and movies on Ioffer before the great purge that happened last month when they did "maintenance" now all the sellers I used to buy stuff from on Ioffer are gone and there's no more listings of DVD-Rs and whatnot. So I was just wondering if there's any users on this site that used to sell on Ioffer that migrated over here. Because there were some items I was thinking about buying before the purge happened. So it would be lovely if I could come across some sellers I used to do business with, my username on Ioffer is Darkrage9.

I wonder why iOffer decided to purge bootlegs.

Looks like the IACC had something to do with it.

They did have a good number of counterfeit goods on there. Strumming from fake dresses to bootleg DVDs.

That's a shame, but you knew that something would be done about this eventually.

Bootleg DVDs were the whole reason many people like myself shopped on that site in the first place, it was a great way to find movies that either never got a U.S. release(or in some cases didn't get any kind of official release at all) or were so rare and/or expensive that buying the actual DVDs and/or VHS tapes was not a realistic option for most people and also of course a great way to find obscure TV shows and i'm sad that part of my life now appears to be over.

I still remember the first time I joined that site back in 2009 when I was looking for the Kathy Long action film "The Stranger", after reading a review that made it sound cool, I went to Amazon and was gobsmacked when I saw it selling for over 100 dollars, so I searched for any place else for a more reasonable price and lo and behold I found a DVD-R of it on Ioffer for 15 bucks. I snatched it up immediately and began regularly visiting the site and posting want-ads for rare stuff. I only had like one bad experience(I spent money on a bootleg set of the original TMNT cartoon and the guy never shipped them out, if they ever existed at all) but other then that all the sellers I did business with were very friendly and I still have quite a few sets that I bought on there.

I've come across a few other sites specializing in selling rare films on DVD-R, but i've yet to find a site like that for TV shows.

Shame, there were a few more sets I needed to add to my library. Most people don't complain about it because they understand they are buying rare material but there are always those that despite buying something, that isn't commercially available still throw a fit and ruin it for the rest of us.

Yeah as fear they will lose more customers over that. I go to Sell.com now.

Started using Ioffer around 2010. I had wanted to see the Don Adams series Check it Out! again. Every trader I got in touch with either wanted a 10:1 swap in their favor or, my favorite, would hint at or outright ask for brand new expensive retail sets in exchange. I find Ioffer in a search, find Check it Out! for $6, sign up and that was that!

I thought it was a decent enough site. Clunky interface and maybe a little too basic in layout, but it was an easy to use service and a great place for obscure titles that would never get a commercial release.

Exactly, I first went on there in 2009 after searching for a place to buy the Kathy Long action film "The Stranger", which was going for insane prices on Amazon and Ebay(over 100 dollars) so I was looking for any place to find it at a reasonable price and stumbled upon Ioffer and bought a DVD-R of it for a mere 15 bucks and that was that. Since then i've lost count of how many items i've purchased on there, i've still got several sets and films from there lying around.

I am thankful that i'm fortunate enough to be a member of the torrent sites Cinemageddon and TV Vault, so Ioffer's purge didn't sting as bad as it would've, but there were still some TV series not available on the latter site that I could only find on Ioffer. And those sites do have ratio requirements so you can't just download whatever you want all the time, you have to actually contribute(usually via seeing torrents for other people) otherwise you get banned. So i'm being real careful(lucky for me that last month TV Vault had a sitewide Freeleech where you could download any show without getting a hit on your ratio and I took full advantage of that)

I would but you have to be a "Power User" in order to have the ability send people invites and for me to get that level would take quite a long time. But I can point you towards the person that sent me the invite on Reddit, if you PM them i'm sure they'd be willing to send you an invite as well:https://www.reddit.com/user/bossmanishere
