Default Is airing reruns of Full House now problematic, due to the Lori Loughlin scandal?

I'm sure most of you have already heard about the scandal involving Lori Loughlin (Becky from Full House) and her daughter. Currently, no network is airing reruns of Full House, while The Cosby Show and Roseanne were promptly dropped from reruns due to scandals by various networks and are also no longer airing.

A few years ago, I posted a schedule for a mock digital TV subchannel network (similar to MeTV and Antenna TV), which I have periodically updated over time. Full House has always been a part of this schedule, as is listed as airing on weeknights at 7:00pm in my latest update. If I were launching this as a real network, should I drop Full House due to the scandal (due to the possibility of giving a new TV channel bad publicity) and replace it with something else?

Lori Loughlin is an actress that played Aunt Becky (married to Uncle Jesse, played by John Stamos) on Full House. She and her husband were involved in a nationwide college entrance exam cheating scandal, and charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. She was fired from Fuller House, the follow-up show airing on Netflix, and her other TV series When Calls the Heart on the Hallmark Channel.

The Cosby Show is still on TVOne, and Roseanne is on TV Land and CMT.

No, she wasn't even the main star.

When did Lori Loughlin scandal started? And I noticed CMT temporarily brought back airing Full House as of last month but that didn't last long

I don’t see it as problematic at all. If they do pull reruns for this, then that’s jut stupid. The crime has nothing to do with the show.

It's a non issue to me. Let her pay her fine and get on with her life. It's not like she raped anyone. Of course, I would never watch Full House anyway.

Full House doesn't air around here but Garage Sale Mysteries and When Calls The Heart are still airing often on a couple different channels.

Lori's bubbly post arrest attitude is disturbing.

Would a fine mean anything to a woman who was willing to pay half a million dollars just to get her daughters in to a good university? How much money does she have if she can throw that much away on girls who don't even want to go to school?

It probably won't be a problem. When she arrived for her court appearance she stepped out of what what seemed to be a party bus, was all smiles and seemed unfazed. She signed autographs for her adoring fans, as she headed for court! Some have commented that her behavior just demonstrated that she seemed to be conveying: Look at me I am rich and I can do whatever I want!

Yes, this is what I feel as well. Besides, there were other cast members than Lori on the show. Why should they be punished along with her for her actions?

I would have dropped Full House around 2003. It's one of the worst shows of all time! Lori Loughlin in all her ravishing beauty was the only reason to watch it.

If she's still getting all this heat from people about the scandal and stations are responding by dropping "Full House" because of her, I wonder if her partner in crime Felicity Huffman will also be affected by this. She was the co-star of "Desperate Housewives" and the show must still be syndicated somewhere, although I haven't noticed it in my area. I believe it won't be long before that series starts vanishing very quickly from programming schedules as well.

I have an idea how both stars can somehow benefit from all this. Once people start forgetting about the whole thing and their lives get back to normal, if the public is willing to forgive them for their sins, then in about a year or two they should think about co-starring in their own series where they can use this experience and maybe play it for laughs. Felicity and Lori could play best friends who are mothers to teenage girls and use a few devious ways to enrol them in college but then get caught and have to perform community service where they get into one embarrassing situation after another. I'm telling you, compared to what's on today, it can't miss!

Not, I don't think it is comparable to the scandals involving Cosby or Roseanne. Loughlin's crimes are mostly white collar and I don't think will require the same kind of boycotting that Cosby and Roseanne got.

Lori is being criticized a lot for that behavior. She made her situation so much worse, with people either questioning her mental health or, as you said, believing that she simply thinks she's rich and can do whatever she wants.

Felicity said all the right things in that statement she released, and I think people are waiting for Lori to do something similar to that.
