Default Susan Blackstone Rinell (Adequate Brenda)

Susan Blackstone appeared in three episodes of The Facts of Life as Brenda (the "adequate" one, not the other Brenda, Pianist Brenda, who was clearly inadequate): "The Four Musketeers", "Dearest Mommie", and "Teacher's Pet", all seasons 3 and 4 episodes.

Susan now goes by Rinell, presumably her married name (since 1986), but she is still in the business; her most recent TV project was in 2017.

One fun fact is that, like Felice Schachter, Pamela Adlon, Marj Dusay, and George Clooney, she also appeared in the short-lived 1980s sitcom E/R. Only 22 episodes of that show, and yet five FOL actors appeared on it!

She looks good! Felice was on the other E/R? I didn't know that!

Other Brenda was very good at the piano; they should have had her play the piano instead of Jo!

Exactly!

And I LOVE how "adequate" has so easily become Adequate Brenda's official gimmick! So much so that we now use it as part of her name!

I came across the words "adequate" and even "inadequate" at work today and thought of our Brenda!
