Susan Blackstone Rinell (Adequate Brenda) - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Susan Blackstone appeared in three episodes of The Facts of Life as Brenda (the "adequate" one, not the other Brenda, Pianist Brenda, who was clearly inadequate): "The Four Musketeers", "Dearest Mommie", and "Teacher's Pet", all seasons 3 and 4 episodes.

Susan now goes by Rinell, presumably her married name (since 1986), but she is still in the business; her most recent TV project was in 2017.

One fun fact is that, like Felice Schachter, Pamela Adlon, Marj Dusay, and George Clooney, she also appeared in the short-lived 1980s sitcom E/R. Only 22 episodes of that show, and yet five FOL actors appeared on it!

Other Brenda was very good at the piano; they should have had her play the piano instead of Jo!

And I LOVE how "adequate" has so easily become Adequate Brenda's official gimmick! So much so that we now use it as part of her name!
