Default Vint and the Kids Move in and War of the Roses

Ever notice on these 2 particular episodes that Mama's house looks funny at the end when Mama delivers her final remarks and it shows the house? It looks like a PAINTING kinda.

I know they always showed the same picture of the front of Mama's house at the end and it always looked the same, so I was assuming they did that in War of the Roses b/c the majority of that episode takes place outside and there is a big flower bed in the yard, and maybe they thought it would just look TOO weird for the whole flower bed to just be gone at the end so maybe they thought they'd just distort the image a little.

Interesting, I never noticed that, I'll have to look. I have noticed though that there's at least one view of the house in sunset. Maybe more than one, I'm not sure.

yeah that was a strange thing, the time of day always matched with the actual episode, but I noticed the exterior of the house always looked the same.

When I was little I always liked Mama's pink flamingos and her yellow windmill daisy, and I noticed if they were ever outside in the yard in the episode, they were always in different places, but at the end when it showed the house they were always in the same spot, flamingos were always one in front of the other in front of the porch steps and daisy was way over on the other side, then after looking further I noticed the porch furniture and everything was always back to how it always was. lol yeah I was an observant kid

But in the 2 episodes I mentioned, the house looked like a painting, sorta and somewhat distorted....I always assumed they did that in War of the Roses b/c it would have been a little over-the-top for the whole flowerbed that was in the yard through the whole episode to just be GONE at the end.

I’ve never noticed this as MANY times as I’ve watched these episodes. I’ll have to rewatch it later tonight.

I too grew up with the show watching episodes countless times, and that has never been a factor in any of my viewings. I'm sure I would have noticed if it weren't the real house.

Here is the exterior shot used in the closings for “Vint and the Kids Move In” & “War of the Roses”. It’s the exact same shot for both episodes.

Yup, that same sunset shot. Wow, it's odd that they used the same image so many years apart!

Good pic, and its like I said, I can only speculate they put this pic at the end of War of the Roses to "distort" things a bit, so it wouldn't look too bizarre that the big flower bed in the front lawn was totally GONE at the end, seeing as how it was huge to the plot.
