I think the episode your looking for is "Telethon Man " from season 6 in which Dick hosts a 48 hour telethon to save financially strapped WPIV.

Thanks!! I remember she wore a very sparkly dress, too. Man, I wish the rest of this show (and the 1970s Bob) were on DVD!!!!!
