Which PS episode is your least favorite? I have several:
#10 "Ladies and Germs" (Mr. Twinkacetti's son sneezes in Larry's direction; IMHO the writers should have had Larry get better and date Bonnie Kleinschmidt (sp?)) #17 "A Christmas Story" (Larry is unable to go to Madison; the writers should have had him go there anyway) #36 "Karate Kids" (the writers should have had Larry defeat the bully in the end, or else not go back to the bar at all) #38 "Future Shock" (I personally hated the scenes where the characters imagine they're old) #40 "The Break In" (where they go to the Chicago Chronicle late at night; I personally hated the scene of the Chronicle building lit up at night at the beginning--personally I didn't care for any of the episodes which primarily took place at the Chronicle building; how many times did we see Ward Cleaver at his office, compared to home with June, Wally, and Theodore?) #59 "The Gift of the Mypiot" (Gorpley comes to L&B's Christmas party; Balki should not have let him come back IMHO) #64 "Come Fly With Me" (the gang fly to Hawaii; instead of the episode focusing on J&MA getting sick, it should have focused on the fun they would otherwise have had there) #67 "Prose and Cons" (L&B wind up in jail for refusing to reveal a source) #77 Dog Day Mid-Afternoon" (I didn't care for the bomb scene) #79-80 "Father Knows Best" (the scene in the flooding basement was not a good plot IMHO) #103-104 "The Man Who Knew Too Much" (the gang goes to Los Angeles and witnesses a murder, a plot I didn't care for at all) #105 "The Ring" (the fake ring Larry bought for Jennifer; IMHO the ring should have been genuine and, therefore, the plot should not have centered around their hijinks to get a real diamond) #124 "Door to Door" (door-to-door salesmen like Bobby in the finale of "The Brady Bunch"; they should have left that painting alone after a drop of tonic hit it) #138 "The Elevator" (the plot involving the couch and the elevator was very lame IMHO) #143 "It Had To Be You" (Balki never should have become engaged to Mary Ann) #146 "After Hours" (I hated the scene with L&B locked up inside the closed store) #149-150 "Up, Up and Away" (IMHO it was not the way to wrap up the series) |

I can't think of any particular bad episode right now, but I do know I didn't like the earliest episodes (set in Twinkie's store) that much.

Just got done watching the series....
Season 8 was just downright dreadful... The Baby Shower with the Root was the most painful episode I saw in the 150 episodes... The showed definitely peaked around Seasons 4-5... Season 6 was decent... Then Seasons 7-8... Ehh..Definitely Hit or Miss |

The Men Who Knew Too Much Pts. 1 & 2 - I never cared for episodes where characters go on a vacation or a trip that much, but those 2 episodes were horrible, IMO.

I loved this series -- the only episode that comes to mind is the one where Balki's grandmother dies -- just didn't care for that one.

I didn't like the episode when Larry's sister comes to visit. I think that it was Hello Elaine.

Little Apartment of Horrors in the sixth season because it directly contradicted Ladies and Germs in the second season. The writers really need to keep their crap straight. Also the one where Larry and Balki get sunburned while Larry tries to upstage his old school rival.

Watching many of the episodes via YouTube and the like, I have to say episode #136, "Yes Sir, That's My Baby" with the guys imagining themselves as their own baby children, was indeed THE lowest point of the show. James, I have to say I DID enjoy "It Had to Be You", because Justin Pinchot (brother of Bronson), played the Balki clone that Mary Anne dates. Of course, a split up couple dating others the mirror images of the ones they really love isn't a new plot for a Miller/Boyett series. The same thing happened the last episode of Happy Days, when Joanie and Chachi dated other people who looked like their exes.

I also didn't care too much for the two-part episodes -- always seemed to miss part one or part two -- I remember one show where Balki and Larry were trapped in a cabin (Snowy Way) and I don't think I ever saw the second part to know how they got out -- maybe they're still trapped -- LOL.

#59 "The Gift of the Mypiot" (Gorpley comes to L&B's Christmas party; Balki should not have let him come back IMHO)
I don't really like slapstick fight scenes, including the one in this episode where everyone is trying to force Gorpley out and hold Balki down. But I love all the scenes where there's someone mean or dishonest or hateful and Balki just turns them around. Here, it's true of both Gorpley's own attitude and the whole crowd's. Gorpley: Do you people feel like this every Christmas? Larry: All except for Balki. He feels like this every day. |
