Default Best Seasons?

When was this show in it's prime?

I would say seasons 2-4..
The first season had some hilarious moments, but it started out a little slow. The second season really picked up, and the 3rd season kept it going in the right direction, even with all the changes. With season 4, I think there were still some hilarious moments, but the show was hot by this time, and.. unfortunately, a lot of times, the viewers are given a little too much of what they originally found funny, and the writing suffers a little.

Don't get me wrong though, I'd say, up until the guys moved out of the apartment, the show still had the potential to be pretty damn funny, and was even funny once in a while, during the episodes at the house, but something was lost by this point, and it seemed like they hired writers who had never watched earlier seasons..

What are some opinions?

Cool

I liked all the seasons. The show never should have ended!

Watched this series when it first aired and loved it. I only recalled one episode, the MacGyver episode where they are trapped in a flooding basement, *turns out it was a 5th season episode which is the last season I apparently watched before heading to the military*

I've been going through the whole series the last few days and I can safely say I never saw the 6th season and on.

The 6th season shifts from video to film a few episodes in, introduces a two-part action/shooting story that is very un-ps, you get star wars laser effects, weird dreams, lame Balki rap video and I haven't yet finished this season but it introduces clichéd stuff like amnesia, cattle in the apartment and so on.

Whoever took over the production of this show for the 6th season, they lost their vision of what the immigrant from Mypos was about. Bronson loses his likeablity when he goes from boy from Mypos to speaking perfect English from time to time.

Measure the laughs from early seasons to the 6th season, not as many laughs. I also noticed that with Three's Company. Maybe it's just the norm for shows that last a long time, they start running out of ideas.

I felt sorry for Larry at first and hoped he got Jennifer, but by the 6th season when he does have her, I wonder to myself why she would settle for a liar that doesn't learn from his mistakes.

*I know some moderators like to come up after my post to disagree, but this is my opinion from what I am seeing right now as I watch the series afresh*

My most favorites are the last couple of seasons because they are the ones that I remember better compared to the earlier seasons.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. I miss this show so much. I wish that the powers that be would get the rest of it out on DVD already.

Seasons 3-5 were the best for me, followed by Seasons 1-2, then Seasons 6-8.

Now that I have seen more of the show with the earlier episodes being available on DVD, I can now say that season six is my most favorite.

God bless you always!!!
