I just found TV land and boy has that changed no more retro TV just 80’s stuff. The only show worth watching is M.A.S.H. I remember back in the 90’s it was the only station to watch LITB, Father Knows Best and Andy Griffith.

At least MeTV doesn't cut as much out of Beaver as TV Land did. They have 2 or 3 minutes more of program.

You’re right. I recorded Beaver from TV Land way back and they really did cut a lot out. I remember in June’s Birthday seeing the scene with June and Ward as he’s waxing the car discussing going to dinner. Never saw that on TV Land. June’s Birthday has a lot of mystery. I like how Wally brings out two cake plates to the kitchen and Beaver one. Then Ward brings out two. Five plates and 4 people? Maybe Larry ate a piece up in the bathtub.

I never noticed the cake plates--yeah, maybe Larry had stopped by.
Right, TV Land did cut that opening scene on June's Birthday. They open in the boys' bedroom, and Ward enters. To MeTV's credit they show it. There's also a little dialog over at Mrs. What's her name's house that TV Land also cuts. Right off the bat I don't know what MeTV cuts on that episode. Yes, June's Birthday has a lot of mystery. |

“Now Larry. I would probably just like nice blouse, XX large. They ask Mrs. Mondello if she would come with them to find a blouse and she says she has to stay and wait for your father to call. It’s a funny typical Mondello scene. |

Hmm. I don't remember that blouse size. Maybe MeTV cut that out. TV Land too. Along with my Miss Landers line. (I HAD to bring that up!)
Really, all that Mondello stuff is great. Hubby always in Cincinnati doing heaven knows what. Larry saying his father yelled him into doing something, over the phone (from Cincinnati). |

Only kidding about XX Large! Mrs. M asks if Larry would like to talk to his father. Larry declines. Mrs. M says he asks how we all are and tells her where to send his clean laundry. Imagine he sends her his dirty laundry by mail??

I was also kidding re not remembering about the blouse size line--I should have said LOL (I DID!)
You know, this is totally off-topic, but I was just wondering--why did Beaver not want a parent along to buy his ice skates, but he had no problem when Ward took him to Foster's to buy new shoes for basketball? |

Good point. He was younger in the ice skates episode and probably wanted to spend his own money by himself. Ward was buying him his sneakers so he let him come. LOL
