What Is This Thing Called Lust? - The first appearance of Julia Duffy/Stephanie Vanderkellen before joining the cast as a regular the following season. OMG and when Dick thought she was in love with him when they were in his office talking! And when Kirk very rudely kicked the family out of the restaurant when they were just starting to eat!!! Really funny ep!

Another funny ep was when that 300 year old corpse was in the basement. First appearance of Larry and the Darryls !

Reading this thread I had forgotten how funny the first season was. My favorite might be when Dick, George, and Kirk went to a basketball game and everything bad happened to Dick. He wanted it to be the perfect day but he ended up getting hit by a basketball, ruined his clothes, and lost his seat. There was a lot of good dialogue between George and Kirk as well.

I'm halfay through season 1. My favorite eps (rating at least 9/10) at the moment are:

03 - Hail to the Councilman (10/10)
09 - No Room at the Inn (9/10)
10 - The Senator's Wife Was Indiscreet (9/10)
12 - The Way We Thought We Were (9/10)
14 - What is This Thing Called Lust (9/10)

Saw the episode of the basketball game, really fun!
Also, Daniel J. Travanti appearance made me happy!

I personally can't stand season 1, I especially hated the episode with Kirk's grandmother. Some of the problems were Kirk, since he was such an a-hole, there was Leslie who was just boring, Larry and the Darryls weren't there, the episodes were filmed on tape like a public access show, and it was just a boring season.

My Fav ! So much great acting & dialogue !

Steph's 1st appearance and I love her acting personality so much more than what she became ... though she was often hilarious but a bit too mean ... When she was on Cheers she played it very similar to this episode and that was great as well
